Thanks! Gonna order them on monday. I cannot find a good setting on the konis to work with rce black springs on the beat up minnesota roads. smooth roads are no problem. potholes and pressure ridges in highways are brutal. If i go soft, the stiffness of the springs makes the car bouncy and it handles like crap. if i go hard, i'm back to how it rode with the bilsteins. tried everywhere between 1/4 and 1-1/4 turns. can't find the happy spot. grr.

Question for you Eibach spring folks... I'm currently on RCE blacks. The specs state a .8" drop, but they settled to 1". I'm thinking about making the switch to Eibach, but I'm wondering if they'll settle to a greater than 1" drop, which is what their specs are. Did anyone take before/after measurements when installing Eibach springs? I really don't want to drop it more than where it's at due to Minnesota winters.

im said friend! thmotorsports cancelled my order that i put in on saturday morning. when i saw that it hadnt shipped yet today, i knew something was up, then i got the cancellation email. they were able to track down another set from one of their other distributors, but not for the same killer deal i originally got. at least they are on the way. as of 3pm today, they had 2 sets of fronts left. hey gteaser/anyone that has actually cut their donors open. the walkthrough link in the 1st post of this thread shows a measurement of 46mm from the top of the donor strut. does this measurement apply to the 5th gen? i saw the measurement in gteasers later post of 11 7/8 to 12" from the bottom of the inside of the donor. in order to measure from the bottom of the inside, wouldnt you have to make 2 cuts on the donor? one to open it up, then a 2nd to get it to the final length after you measure from the bottom of the inside? or should i just be following these instructions from koni? will these numbers be incorrect since its technically meant for the wrx? "Using a tape measure or ruler on the NEW KONI insert measure the distance from the bumps on the body to the top of the body (where the chrome rod come out). Write down this measurement. Subtract 7mm (about 1/4 “) from this measurement. Then, using the calculated value, measure down the distance from the top of the original strut to that calculated value and mark a line around the factory strut." edit #15... just remembered the only difference between the legacy and wrx strut is the spring perch height. therefore, shouldn't the dimensions in konis instructions be correct? Just ordered my Konis! $560 shipped from thmotorspots. Can't beat that price! I'll be selling my gt worx/billsteins with a year and a half of use and about 16,000 miles within the next month or so. They were a great shock, especially when cornering, but they're a bit too stiff for the beat up Minnesota roads. Anyone with interest in them, let me know.

Official 3.6R Mod List

He can be insanely difficult to get a hold of. It once took him months to respond to an email. Theres a good chance he doesnt have any left. Last week he posted on the Australian liberty site that he only had a couple left. Rick at chargertech also sells them and i know he was getting some of the latest batch. Unfortunately, his sell for a bit more than what Tim sells them for due to exchange rates n whatnot. info@chargertech.nl good luck!! Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk -
I already have the bilstein n blacks and they are a terrible setup for minnesota roads. Was wondering if i could temporarily cheap out and just do the fronts since they were just discontinued. id then do the rears later. I just bought raptors and still have the rest of the exhaust to throw money at, hence the lack of funds. Im probably gonna roll the dice on the tein flex z coils in the spring. Thanks guys. I found a "used" return on amazon for a pretty great price so I pulled the trigger. -
Takeda 3.6R Intake Review

Running lean was the concern. I guess that stems from mostly only working on carbureted motorcycles, lol. Maybe ill keep a lookout for a used one since those seem to pop up on here. Thanks
