  1. I assume he can print them. Unless you want a copy of the file too. I'll keep a blank file and then a switch panel file.
  2. How much do you love me? Message me your email too. I can't upload and STL file on here or else I would
  3. Has all the mounting points on the bottom and everything. This was the first draft. Made some revisions and whatnot so now it's pretty much dead nuts. I can just remove the holes for the switches and send you the blank one. I'm in the process of building a new switch set so that I can keep the SI drive selections there but make them much smaller so that I can still have the 4 toggle switches. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Subaru/20150310_170645_zpsmd6gsbcu.jpg
  4. Flinkly is correct. Here I made parts of it transparent so you can see the tube. It is all internal so the only part you see is the little bit of the tube in the vent but it is all blended together. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/vent%20tube_zpsd7h7z2za.jpg I have an SI drive cover modeled that I can just send you the blank I have cut outs in mine to make a switch panel for mine.
  5. Well I have a lip in there. It's about 3mm deep. It's not the same thickness all the way back. Kinda hard to see with all the intersection lines not visible. As far as the cups go they were only 2.5" and 2.75" deep. The vent isn't that big so it looks obnoxious lol. The gauge I have here at my desk is pretty deep. What kind of depth do you think I should go with? I brought them down to 2.25" and 2.5" now. Just takes awhile to redo all the fillets and blends to make everything look nice again. Thanks I'm excited to finish it. Yea I figured on the support. I plan on at least printing one here so I can get an idea of how much material and whatnot is needed. I can find out exact numbers and let you know for sure once I print it so you can have some sort of idea. I did get a few more blends done to help with some support and whatnot. Basically just doing finishing touches for now. I think I'm going to drop the opening size down to 51mm so then there is room for inconsistencies in the printer and gauge. Won't be hard to sand the lip down.
  6. Ok here's the pic after I added some more fillets and whatnot to smooth it out. I also took off all the boundary line enhancements. The lines in green I drew on are the main areas that I added the fillets to. Also added the horizontal blade. There are some of the spots on it that I cannot add fillets like I want but I assume when it prints it will have enough of an edge break to be fine. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/Rev3_zpsxxwvdbi4.jpg
  7. Honestly what would really help is if anyone with 52mm gauges could measure the OD for me. Just want to see the variation in diameters. I would rather make the openings a little on the small side and then have to sand some out if need be rather than have it be loose. I'll have to find my other gauges and measure them all. The one I have here at my desk is 51.68mm (2.0355in). All I am interested is in the diameter at the depth that it will be sitting. The one I have here at my desk was around 50mm at the very end and then the 51.68 at the front behind the lip. I'm kinda curious as to how this is going to turn out when I print it. I might have to wait for the weekend again because I want to print at 0.007" build instead of the normal 0.010" which adds a significant amount of time but looks a lot better.
  8. Have a few small minor changes to make before I print it. Just figured I would give people an update I turned on the visualization of some of the lines so you can get a better idea of the contours. Need to add a few more fillets here and there to smooth it out. And I am going to try and add the horizontal "blades" now that I have the vertical ones done.
  9. May or may not have gotten some things done on the dual vent pod It's been crazy here at work along with me trying to get my RX7 running right to sell it I haven't had a whole lot of time. But I got some stuff done Might print a prototype over the weekend. Figured a video is better than a picture http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/th_20151002_103514_zpsi7gkdcmz.mp4
  10. Mine still doesn't pop open. Only way I can open the trunk by myself is by using the key fob and pulling up on the trunk at the same time. Using the inside latch doesn't work by myself because by the time I get to the back it is already re-latched. Anyone ever try putting some sort or spring under the trunk just to give it enough movement to get past the latch?
  11. I can't wait to see the manifold done. Looks awesome so far. If you need any help machining or fabrication wise for some of your custom pieces shoot me a pm or something and I'd be happy to help I love seeing custom stuff.
  12. A 52mm gauge should fit down there. I'll try tonight. I've been toying with the idea of how to do a dual or triple pod in the ashtray actually But I wanted to get the vent one done first. I'd use the ash tray one for gauges that aren't as essential but still good to have.
  13. Alright back from that week long work trip Ok. I figured there would be fins but didn't get that far yet. How much higher would you be thinking of having the gauges? I was planning on putting a "tunnel" for the wires to go through anyways so that you didn't see them chilling in the vent. Ok I should be able to do that. What kind of part file do you need it converted to? I can scan your OEM reflector too if you send it to me.
  14. Ok sounds good. Well I will be gone for a week so I won't be able to work on it. I'll see what I can come up with when I get back. Shouldn't be very hard to do at all. Well you asking got me wanting to work on it so I stayed late at work to get a little farther. I set the gauges back a little farther and changed up the angles of them. I also was able to integrate the vent path into the pedestal for the gauges. Now I just need to make a hole somewhere to route the wires and add the directional fins for the vent. Would that be something you guys would want? Or would you rather have it lacking the fins? Of course the best part...some pics http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/rev2a_zps0esow2zk.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/rev2b_zpsvdc1qda4.jpg http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab114/gearhead_18/Vent%20pod/rev2c_zpsiwnvm3np.jpg
  15. I have not. We have our yearly conference for work next week so things have been crazy getting ready for it. Haven't really had enough free time to work on it. I have the pods and everything modeled I'm just working on blending the pod onto the vent. I'm picky so it needs to be right Is there enough of a gap for something to go through? the 3m could possibly work. If that were the case the hood would be pretty simple to make.
  16. oohhhh that thing. yea that makes sense. I'm not sure how it would hold in place though. I'm gone all next week but I'll see what I can come up with. I feel like this would be the same issue as the hood above in regards to holding it in place.
  17. What is it even? I can design it as well and send it over to discojon to print it.
  18. Hyper speed printing Looks awesome though. What kind of print times are you looking at?
  19. Well I will be pulling my manifold off to swap in my TGV deletes and ID1000s so I'll just do it then
  20. Yep pulled mine off too. Still haven't gotten the passenger solenoid off. Have to pull the stupid manifold on the 07+ cars....
  21. Ok well then I guess I'll only have to unwrap the top of the downpipe. You guys have a picture of what orientation yours is welded in? I've seen them in a few different orientations. Not sure if one is better than the other.
  22. So it doesn't really need to be much farther down the downpipe than the bellmouth? I thought I read the AEM sensor, and innovate for that matter, are supposed to be ~2ft from the turbo.
