  1. Today 2 spottings: (1) Whitestone Expwy West bound at about 2:00pm, SWP GT wagon, tint, Thule rack, exhaust, rims, Phillipino or Asian looking driver with sunglasses (hard to tell with dark tint) - moving pretty quick. (2) Mobil station off GCP and 70th st (guess that's way North Jackson Heights) close to Home Depot/BBBY, ABP GT wagon w/tint in the lot.
  2. Saw a blue GT wagon by Oakland Lake a few days ago - just a few steps from my domicile

    Quotes???

"You can't fix stupid." -Carlin (I think)
  4. Sorry to hear that about your tranny. However, lots and lots of folks, myself included, have done much higher launches repeatedly and have had no long-term tranny problems at all. Luck I guess.
  5. Hmmm.... because of elevation alone? Check this out: http://www.dragtimes.com/Subaru--Legacy-Drag-Racing.html
  6. On a side note, I went up first against an STi that ran 13.8 at first then never saw him again. Could have been bad driver or whatever. I then ran against a WRX with an STi swap and FMIC. He ran 13.2 a couple of times. Who knows... food for thought I guess. Gotta get back there and get some better passes.
  7. Yeah. I agree. I think as I said I need to shift a little sooner and lower tire pressure. I simply forgot until afterwards. One more thing: I need to figure out proper powershifting. Don't think I was on it all the time between shifts. Anyway, I really think I could eek out .4 more. We'll see... 12.9 can be hit with a great Stage II tune and great driver.
  8. Take a look I'm very disappointed. All the relevant data is posted in the locked thread. No BS from me and no excuses. However, I have to state a few things. The weather was to my advantage - nice and cool. I haven't been to dragstrip since 1991 with my old Camaro so I was a n00b all over again Tires were set to 40psi because I had just finished auto-x, set them there and forgot. Car had extraneous crap in it like subwoofers/enclosures, spare tire, amp rack, and a couple of bags of crap in the back seat. I experimented with different launch techniques (around 3K) before bumping it up to a 4K launch for this run below. BTW, I did not dump the clutch but let it out quickly while gassing it. Shifting was around 7K (rev limiter is set to 7150). I want to try 6500 shifts next time. I want to get my car datalogged and checked out by Mike. Just want to be sure everything is running right since my AEM CAI debacle at the under carriage wash a while back. I had reflashed the ECU but am not sure if I did everything properly. I also want to go back with the car completely empty of crud. I have to ditch this PZeros because they SUCK for track use something awful. I was spinning through first. I'm going to invest in some R-comps for auto-x and drag and see what happens. I really believe that with a few minor changes and some practice I could get down to 12.4 -12.5 or so. Just some commentary. Take from it what you will. I'm not car #734 wise asses That was an MS3 - don't know what mods he had. -Freddy http://www.nyccs.net/images/lgt/et20080426.jpg

  10. Thanks. Crap. That's what I figured. I've also got coilovers and sit in the weeds pretty good. I want rims/bbk's but I'm afraid of the rub I've got to find a config that won't do that. The search continues....
  11. Hot Liberty! Details on rims and offset? Got coilovers? Rubbing? Thks!
  12. This afternoon in Bayside, right outside Crocheron Park - Silver LGT, no tint, lowered, exhaust and debadged.
  13. Spotted an RBP '07 Wagon, American flags in cargo area, at Hunter Mountain today when I was skiing
  14. I'm swappin' out my wheels first. Man. Big investments in this car. True, it's the offset that's really the problem on the OEM Shrek wheels not the width. Sigh... I would keep them if I could fit a BBK in there.

Uhh... yeah but (1) they're only availble on selct models and (2) they currently add like $500 or so to the price tag above a more generic build.

If I were going to do this, I'd really want to try and do a solid-state (no moving parts) storage system. A couple of 4GB or 8GB CFII cards might work. I think I've seen somebody do it somewhere on the Interweb. Extreme temperatures will wreak havoc on spinning disks with a few microns separating head from platter. That concerns me.
  17. Well elders and nUbs, yes I searched. I came across a myriad of threads of "does this fit under x" and "will my YYY wheels clear that." However, there is no compendium of such data that I can find. I ask because yes, I'm looking at a BBK purchase that will clear my Shrek wheels. Gonna go with AP or Stoptech/Cobb 4-pots on all fours probably. Note: I've seen a couple of us running Endless setups but no comments or reviews. I'd like to get some opinions of these too if possible.

Awesome job! Any chance you can tell us more, or post screenshots, of the Centrafuse interface with the OBD or other diagnostic screens? I'm really looking to see if MPG, Boost, EGT, temp, etc. are able to be displayed. Thanks!
  19. Have you searched for my Vacation Pix? They're wonderful! You should see them.

Anybody seen this? http://subicarpc.bravehost.com/ Is it someone on here? Looks like they're using Centrafuse - what I might go with.
  21. Is there a straight up 19" wheel thread somewhere? Only Boostjunkie's are listed at the top of this thread. I remember seeing a thread with lots of 19"s a while back and can't find it anymore . I'm seriously considering them - mostly for the look. Best look I've seen on a Legacy.

Redline bumped to 7150rpmOverview Like buttah!!! Smooth and strong beyond belief down low where you won't find boost and torque on higher-end and higher power turbos! Jet Fighter sounds during operation and shutdown! Maintains stealth by looking like stock IHI VF40. Locomotive-like nearly linear acceleration (for a turbo car). Requires fuel system mods. Expen$ive as heck - hundreds more than other turbos but to me well worth it. Though, some early adopters have bought it for under $1,000!!! All this power on TMIC and no meth! I figure with meth, I'd be over 350hp and 400ft-lbs maybe. Don't think I'll ever do it though. http://www.nyccs.net/images/lgt/40bbdyno.jpg
  23. Brand aside, which are better - slotted or drilled rotors? I imagine the drilled might sacrifice a tiny bit of surface area at the expense of a tad added cooling? Do the slotted variety dissipate heat better? Better fade resistance?
