  1. Figured I'd revive this thread. Picked this guy up about 3 weeks ago, after trading in my 2015 Impreza wagon (manual). Wish this one were a manual, but, Subaru (and most other companies) seem to be moving away from them. In any case, stock for now and aside from a few minor parts (sway bars/end links, splash guards, better tires (I strongly dislike the LS2's), etc.) it'll remain that way. Mostly has everything else that came with the car (all weather mats, wheel locks, cargo tray, and a few other little bits/pieces). I did have a chance to wash/clay/wax the car, and will be getting some leather care products soon...the Florida heat requires it. One of the features I love, albeit a simple one, is not having to press the button on the key fob all the time to unlock the doors/trunk. It's the small things in life.
  2. ^^For sure. I've always upgraded the bar on almost every scoob I've had...this one will be no different. I still remember the time when I did this install (http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/cusco-f-r-swaybar-review-18413.html) and that was on my first ever LGT, from '05 -- great mod(s), but, no longer have the car.
  3. ^^ Thanks! Car is only a few weeks old, so, should be easy enough to remove the old one. Appreciate the info.
  4. ^^ Thanks...didn't see the sticky, while searching thru threads. Doh!
  5. Did you get an OEM 20mm bar/bushings? New to the 3.6R, for the second time (I had a 2011 previously), and this is my/our 9th Subaru (between the wife and I, since 2002 (WRX wagon)). I just traded my impreza, and had a 20mm STi bar on there, but, sold the bar/etc. I'm sure the 20mm is more than enough for a daily driver, but, this time, I think I might like to go with a 22mm, or adjustable. Anyone have the part number for the whiteline or OEM 20mm bars, please?
  6. ^^ That would be on the 'track' right? Street racing stories are a no - no 'round these parts.
  7. Spotted an Atlantic Blue LGT, with tints, and a wing today, in New Rochelle...anyone here?
  8. I'm with ya there. That's why most of the suggestions that I posted above relate to suspension/brakes/tires/monitors. Speed comes fierce...slowing down, well, that's the cause of most accidents. Later.
  9. Suspension: F/R swaybars (Cusco, Whiteline, Perrin, JDM, etc). Springs or Coilovers (Ions, STi Pinks, Bilsteins, Swift, K-Sport, GPmoto, etc). Lower Arm Bars (F/R - Cusco). Endlinks for F/R Swaybars (not needed initially, but can be sourced -- Cusco, whiteline?, AVO, etc.). Brakes: F/R Lines (Cobb (rebadged stoptech), Stoptech, Goodridge, Techna-fit, etc.). Pads - Carbotech Bobcats, Panthers, etc. Calipers - Stoptech, STi brembos, Etc. Fluids - Motul, Valvoline, etc. Tires: Pirelli, Toyo, Dunlop, Nokian, etc. (can look up at Tirerack, treadepot, STS tire, discounttiredirect, etc.). Gauges: Omori, Defi, Greddy, HKS, Autometer, etc. Hope that helps.
  10. Must have just missed ya, then. I am always on 95 stuck in traffic around that time. Usually between the 5 - 5:30 timeslot...thank goodness I live off of exit 15...but of course, that's where all the traffic starts to break up...and flowing again!
  11. I saw a Silver LGT yesterday, around 5 - 5:30 p.m. with CT plates heading over to 95N via 287E. I was stuck in the one lane that goes to 95S by exit 10 on 287. Dunno if it's someone here...but I tried to wave...then saw the person weave in and out of the left lane...and that was that.
  12. Hmm..definately saw a new white wagon with bronze rims. Seemed like a hispanic person driving the car...in new ro. Oh well, maybe it wasn't you...but maybe we'll see each other around. Peace.
  13. Could be a mild case...I usually experience it in 5th (and 4th/3rd) generally in the 2500-3500 RPM range. It acts like the car is 'building' boost, and then, once you pass 3500, it goes away. As if you were riding a pedal bike, holding the brakes (softly) and riding down a hill..you would feel a little pull from the brakes, and then, let go of the brakes, and all of a sudden, smooth. that's the best way I can describe it.
  14. according to most, this shouldn't occur in the 'newer' '05's. Probably people who bought it before a certain build date...as the beginning of the thread states.
  15. Mudfoot...does your wagon have bronze rims? If so, were you going towards home depot in New Roc. the other morning? maybe Tuesday? If not, well, then I spotted someone with a white wagon, with bronze rims...hehe! I also saw a RBP sedan on the hutch south, that same morning...and I waved, but each of us was going 60 MPH in opposite directions.. I also saw an Outback wagon LL bean edition, on the Hutch south today!
  16. I'm with you there...either that, or Cobb's AP! Either way, I know how to 'avoid' it happening...just sometimes, it gets the best of me. Oh well, life moves on.
  17. Opie, I agree that some people may be using/not using top tier fuels. However, I have NEVER reset my ECU...unless the dealer has done so, without my express knowledge. As for gas, even though you have been using TOP TIER fuels since you bought the car new, why did you STILL have the issue? And what if some of us don't have access to these 'TOP TIER' fuel stations...what are we supposed to do then? Deal? I wouldn't think that you would give out the number... ...just thought I might try and ask. As for right now...according to another member who has had this 'fix' for the ECM/ECU, apparently the situation has still not been resolved. Another one of those, 'I will have to deal' types of scenarios. Oh well...what can I do. Guess I am just going to have to stay out of the range in RPM's where this happens...that's all. Thanks again, for the info. and the beginning of this thread. I knew I should have NEVER bought another 1st year car! -- but aside from this, and other minor issues, it's a blast.
  18. Opie, any idea what the number of this 'Tech Line' is, in case the service dept. happens to 'not know' what it is? This way, I can always state that I have it...? Any advice will be all good...when I go back to take a tech with me, on the road. Again, thanks for all the help!!!
  19. I don't believe it exists in newer cars...there's a certain number of ECM/ECU's identified that were affected. As for myself, they claimed that they could not find anything wrong with the car. The service manager stated that I could bring the car back, and take a tech out with me, to reproduce it, but not today, since they were about to close when I got there. I will be going back next week, sometime, to reproduce the issue for them. On the other hand, everything else that they had to fix is mostly fixed...so that's a good thing. I will let you know how the story progresses!
  20. Exactly...which is why I kept questioning the guy. I will have to talk to him some more, when I get to the dealer later. I know the computer won't find the codes, but the stuttering will still be there. Not cool...but I guess they believe that the computer knows it all! I will see what they have to say when I get there...and maybe they will take a ride with me, and experience it first hand. I know how to constantly reproduce the issue.
  21. Just got a call from the dealer service dept. and the shop foreman could not find anything 'wrong' with the car, with regards to the 'stuttering' even with the 'Subaru' computer that he used, while on a test drive. Claims that the car is behaving normally, accoring to the 'computer' that they used...so, I guess there goes my chance of having this fixed through this dealer. Maybe I will try and check with another one, in the area, and see if they can find something with it. Who knows...maybe the AP is the way to go. Apparently, the 'Subaru Computer' knows more than the person driving the car on a daily basis. Good luck folks!!!
  22. Probably...although my car is at the dealership...and they have 'kept' it overnight for reasons that I am not aware of at this time. I asked the individual who called me, and he said that the shop foreman has to assess the situation...so, I will be finding out more tomorrow. I am NOT happy that they have kept the car...but, if it's 'fixed' soon enough, I won't have to worry about it anymore. Oh well...patience, I suppose.
