  1. I was thinking that as well. I still haven't had a chance to go to the dealer and ask.
  2. I saw the same thing... I was hoping that there may be an easier way to do this without taking out the door card and doing all the wiring for it. I'm actually going to the dealership soon and going to talk to the service manager and see what I can find out... and get a free car wash while I'm there!
  3. Garden of the Gods park, and Pikes Peak... both local attractions in Colorado Springs! http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h174/firemn1692/20150806_123354_zps7dgpweic.jpg
  4. As long as the picture doesn't include the trophy wife tied up with a shovel and a bag of lime next to her...
  5. I thought it was just me that hadn't seen that before... thought it was a bit strange. Guessing the garage was an add on?
  6. My first oil change free as well, which I'm very happy about! I still have a little while to wait for it since I just broke 1000 miles this last Saturday! Heuberger has been nothing but fantastic with me! I always have seen commercials for them being the #1 Subaru dealer in the country, and now I see why! Even if I move, I will gladly make a trip to go back for upgrading my car, and the parts online are very well priced too, which you can see by checking out their Amazon store!
  7. I found a write up that someone had done on for a 2015 WRX, and it looks like they had to wire in the power for the turn signals. I didn't see anything about if this might work for a legacy though... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2650305 I actually got an invite from Heuberger to take my car for a free car wash, and have the chance to ask the service department any questions while I'm there. I'm going to try and go this week and see if there is anything I can find out. Maybe if they are as curious as I am, they may take my mirror apart and we will all see if this can be done!
  8. Finally got around to getting a good pic... was a nice day and took advantage of getting a car wash on my lunch break! http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h174/firemn1692/20150806_123354_zps7dgpweic.jpg
  9. Pricey is right... $189? If I was going to do this, I think I'd stick to the $10 mod. Mostly because I'm cheap... lol
  10. I haven't heard any squeaking with mine at all.... which isn't saying much since I haven't even broken 1,000 miles yet. Have you heard it since day 1, or has it developed over time?
  11. If I'm able to find anything out, I'll make sure to post about it!
  12. I have no problem working on multiple projects at one time... and to be honest, the fog lights were probably the easiest I have ever done on a car. Took 45 minutes at most. I do appreciate the constructive feedback though... that's what I was hoping for in the first place. Thank you.
  13. No need to be a d!*k about it. Finding out the proper information will make the decision if I am going to do the mod or not.
  14. LOL, The cost isn't too bad. Would be around $200 for everything for both sides. It's probably not something I would do right away, but at least want to know if I have the option or not in the future! First project is installing the fog light kit I just bought today for it!
  15. If I was going to order the parts, I was going to do it directly through the dealer and get OEM parts for it. I'm just hesitating opening it up and breaking something since I wouldn't quite know how to do it!
  16. Just so everyone is clear, my question has nothing to do with the auto dimming mirrors. I can get them since I have the auto dimming rear view mirror, but don't want them. This is just asking about the turn signals on the outside of the mirrors.
  17. Thanks, I wasn't sure if you had to have eyesight for the turn signals. Since mine is a Premium, I'm not too sure if it would have the wiring for the signals or not. I also decided not to go with the auto dimming side mirrors... my tinting does a good enough job with that!
  18. I recently purchased a 2015 Legacy Premium 2.5i without EyeSight, and I was looking at some of the available options, and one brochure I looked at said the Side Mirrors with the Integrated Turn Signal were an option. I have seen these standard on the Limited, and I think I have seen some on Premiums as well, but my dealer wasn't able to tell me if I can have these installed. Does anyone know if the wiring may already exist for these in all trim models? Or is it limited to the models that have EyeSight with the Blind Spot detection (since these are the only ones I have seen these lights on)? Of course, has anyone bought these parts and installed them? I'm waning to do this, but don't want to spend the money or time to find that the wiring isn't there. Thanks everyone!
  19. Just a side note, got my side markers done today... in one of the breaks in the snow that we briefly had! Of course had to put LED's in there as well! Thanks for your write up, it helped a lot!
  20. I'm thinking of getting these next for the rear turn signal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1156-Projector-Samsung-Chip-LED-Yellow-Amber-Turn-Signal-Brake-Tail-Lights-Bulbs-/231115946594?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35cf957a62 I was debating on doing the load resistors on each of the lights, but I think I'm going to switch out the turn signal relay instead and see if that will be enough to not have the rapid flash.
  21. Looks great! They are the same lights so that makes it easier! I have been buying from one specific user on ebay that has had the best quality lights (and it looks like some of yours might have come from them too! http://www.ebay.com/sch/dt-autotech/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= I bought these for the 1156 back-up lights: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1156-High-Power-Samsung-SMD-Cree-LED-White-Turn-Signal-Brake-Tail-Lights-Bulbs-/330998095876?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d11062004 These for the License plates: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-WHITE-T10-6000K-LED-LICENSE-PLATE-LIGHT-BULBS-5-LED-/330718779718?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d00601946 These for the 3rd brake light (and the amber version for the side marker lights): http://www.ebay.com/itm/SAMSUNG-WHITE-LED-T10-921-LICENSE-PLATE-INTERIOR-SMD-LIGHT-BULBS-BULB-HIGH-POWER-/191050704698?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c7b82673a All of these have been so much brighter than with other users products, and I have more plans to convert even more of my lights to LED's soon too! Pics to come very soon!
  22. Looks good! I have been slowly converting everything to LED's myself. I have already replaced the 2 backup lights, and all 4 bulbs in the 3rd brake light. I have the rear turn signals on order. Only concern I have had about the rest of the lights... do the LED's have the same light output as the bulbs did? Or do they seem to be a bit more dim? I know the 3rd brake lights I have look almost identical in output as bulbs, and my backup lights are about 5 times brighter than the stock bulbs, but the others seem like they may not be as good. And of course I will have to post some pics soon!! And if the weather holds up, I'm installing my side marker lights this weekend, and have some LED's for those as well!
  23. Sounds good! I wasn't sure if the 2 black wires were the ones that went to the side marker, but looks pretty straight forward! I don't make it to Telluride much, but might be worth a trip sometime soon!
  24. Do you happen to remember exactly how you wired these? I'd love to do the same for my 96 Legacy (looks great on yours so having to copy your idea!) but don't want to go through trial and error if I can avoid it! And if you are ever in Colorado Springs, we will have to compare notes on everything you have done!
