Glad I found this thread. Thanks to all! The wife's 09 Outback started this today, and the dealer instantly knew what it was ... then hinted that if I had a soldering iron and did some research, I could fix it myself. Weekend project!

Anyone know of a dimmer bulb or how to make those bulbs dimmer. Resistors?? Just looks a little too bright.
I got a little PWM dimmer off e-bay for like $3 for my cupholder lighting project I did a while back. The thread is here somewhere. These are designed to work specifically with LED lighting and will definitely tone the lights down.

Yes, mine works, although at times they do seem a little possessed brightening and dimming in reaction to the ambient light.
If the lights are off, there is one setting for the dash/gauges ... on.
If your dial is set like the picture, all the way up, it is bright all the time.

There are two issues here - wandering and body roll. The swaybar certainly cures the body roll issue and the car definitely feels more planted to the road when cornering and throwing it around a bit.
Mine doesn't wander on the highway as much as it seems to be affected by stronger winds. I would tend to blame aerodynamics and the larger, more squared-off front end.

Nice! Black is just so sweet on this ride!

7-9-2004. Had my 1999 Legacy GT LTD 30th Anniversary at the time. Traded it for the ABP 2005 LGT LTD in May 05, which I traded for the 2015 CBS Legacy 3.6r last August.

Do you have anything rolling around in the trunk?
My little trunk monkey gets thrown around from time to time ... wonder if his is a little off balance too?
-
Yes ... the black is definitely badass on this car.

Do Any of you know of anyone in Central MA who can install the sway bar for me. I dont have a ramp or tools. Also am not very hands on when it comes to car. The Dealer refused to install it for me.
Just find another dealer. I'm sure most would be happy for the business.

I did a double take because I hardly ever see any 4th gens anymore. Certainly not any orange ones!
He was driving by Sam's club and Walmart.
Yeah, I've seen it a couple times on 3 North in the morning following him in my dirty Black 3.6R. Definitely orange for sure! Most days I don't miss my GT.

Yay! Got mine done this morning. Nice test ride. 5 degrees, 20-30mph wind gusts, I could feel the difference the instant I hung the right turn out of the dealer and gunned it on to the main road. Ran the S-Curves on the bypass to the Highway, then up and down a couple exit ramps as I did my morning routine in and out of the satellite office.
Definitely feels firmer on the road. Not sure if it is my imagination, but it now seems to ride a little stiffer and I can feel more of the bumps. I don't know if it is the new bar, or the fact that the winter has been so bad with the unbelievable amount of snow on top of the unusual cold. Lots of frost heaves and washboarding, and the pavement is already starting to fall apart. Can't wait for the potholes.

Mine will be installed Friday morning!

Just ordered the 19mm from the dealer. Should be in/installed by the end of the week when my baby goes in for the filler door ... again.
FWIW, after I finally got through to them that the 19mm was a direct upgrade from Subaru (they weren't keen on doing anything aftermarket) they wouldn't even go anywhere near the 20mm bar even after I said that it would fit and it has been done!

... and it's been in the single digits/teens here. Don't want to wait until Spring and the pile of Subie Bucks on my desk is whispering ... use me!

Very nice! I still can't get over how much bigger this car is compared to my old LGT.

Spotted a very clean stock 2005 ABP LGT in my rear view mirror in Hudson, NH.
Oh, yeah ... that was mine. One last look as I was leaving the dealer in my new black on black 3.6R!

I have seen this one several times at the Mobil in Exeter, NH. Spotted by other members, but never acknowledged.

Rob M was pullin' out of work today around 5:15. I had just dropped off my older son at karate. Waves exchanged. Actually, first time I've seen your face! Seen the car for, oh, something like 2 or 3 years so far in the parking lot, but never the person behind the car.
More like flying out of the parking lot because I was starting vacation and got stuck at work. At least I haven't gotten ticketed on Eppin Road ... yet. I'm amazed at how few LGT's I spot, especially commuting between Dracut and Exeter. The only one's that wave are you and Alex (willmaxr).

Right on. Saw you this morning I think pulling out of the Mobil. Thanks.
That was me, getting my morning fix of java. Rob M.

MN plates still, but soon to be NH.
You can now consider yourself officially spotted. Welcome to NH. Rob M.

Is your setup properly grounded? Do you have a multi-meter or test light to check your connection? I'd trace it back to the hazard switch harness connector. The power is there ... something is up with your wiring.
Extending the wire shouldn't be an issue ... I jumped my cup holder lighting off my passenger side foot well wire with no problems.
