  1. After LGT wagon, I got into a Ford Flex EcoBoost for a little while Now driving a 2011 M3 sedan Tired of turbos
  2. Dad of many kids chiming in. I went from LGT 5EAT wagon (crashed), to a Ford Flex EcoBoost which is absolutely fantastic car for sooooo many reasons. But not an enthusiast's car. But then! I found out right before school year I don't have to drive morning carpool for at least another year and a half Planning on E90 M3 sedan, auto (heavy Miami traffic) ... probably without EDC

  4. I went from an 05 LGT 5EAT wagon to a twin turbo v6 Ford Flex and damn am I pleased. That thing moves like h*** for a 5,000lb shoebox Wonderful car! except the (actual) engine note is awful. Exhaust is fine but quiet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah the biggest surprise every single day I climb into it is the handling I just did a little research on the Sync 3 upgrade, looks easy enough DIY but pricey. $2100 at 4dtech am I right?
  6. Agreed Not terrible, but not sold. I haven't enjoyed Infiniti driving dynamics each time I've tried them
  7. All the stats in the world wouldn't convince me into a BRZ, but, to each his own I guess. In any case no one cross shops a BRZ and a Flex. I like my rye bread in five secs or less Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I am a Subaru fan 100%, but I think my toaster can outrun a BRZ Balanced, but ... gutless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I read a hundred reviews. I get the theory. I even admire what they accomplished. But I do not like the BRZ ... at all Give me a ragged old S2000 that revs to 9,000 any day over a BRZ! In a two-car Dad garage, I was contemplating: put the main cash on the people mover (flex, Tahoe etc) and scrape together a ragged old weekend toy (s2000, old wrx)? Or the reverse? In the end, I don't want / can't maintain the hassle of two cars, so I went with the one quick everything-car Not disappointed although I can sniff a manual Corvette down the road Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. hmm if I factor in all of the mods in three n a half years, then yeah take my money. But a regular joe driving his old legacy, is it really so different than another ten yr old Japanese car? what are you referring to? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. True. My mother has a new Outback, fantastic car for what it does. But waaaay smaller than a Flex. FWIW the lack of power in the BRZ was a deal breaker and anyway I like the wrx 1,000 times more I would have considered waiting for the Subaru Ascent, but then I heard which engine!!! Seriously? 12. You're right some of the interior plastics are indeed cheap feeling. But there are also enough high quality materials and excellent feel to switchgear to compensate. That, and using the thing, as a tool, is super impressive people N stuff mover I haven't seen the new Highlander interior Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. You make it sound so easy n cheap! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. thanks! it's a love-hate styling and 95% of the time I love it I may do exhaust / headers, add some roof rails and call it a day. I love the sound of 500+hp and all sortza stuff, but the monthly payment is already ... Tall
  15. :cool:thanks! I consider myself neurotic and nuts about selecting a car, and I deliberated a loooooong time before choosing the Flex I have more than 6 kids but less than 8. For the first time in a long time, we can no longer do carpool to & from school because, well, there's too many of us. Therefore, I'm driving. So I needed more seats, more comfort, more creature comforts, more function The Flex excels at this A+ Also, I only buy wagon form factors. Is it an suv wagon tank or bread box I don't know, but it's low and long enough for me to tick the wagon box And of course, power - it moves amazingly well for a 5,000 lb rectangle And of yes it had to be somewhat off the beaten trail. I wouldn't call the Flex rare, but not too common either The biggest surprise by far is how willing it is to change direction! very light on its feet, all things considering Coolest feature? Power tailgate seats
  16. I wrecked my beloved '05 LGT wagon on Father's Day morning (applause, please ... I know) Salvaged the wheels n tires, and car was totaled by insurance. Bought a 2015 Twin Turbo (sorry, EcoBoost) Ford Flex in dark green I have my reasons ... but what does the forum think? crucify? commend? forgettable?
  17. I crashed my wagon. In the shop getting fixed. The only place she is hooked up to is the lift / diagnostics. where do THOSE pics go?
  18. I'll try to get some posted soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It's my first set up so I don't have much to compare to ... Also my OEM shocks, tires and OEM wheels were so shot I feel like I'm driving on air. All the warnings about coilovers and going lower etc are lost on me since it feels waaaay better That bein' said I like. The main difference is incredibly better control and stability under really hard cornering and turns. Amazing. Comfort is agreeable. Bumps and whatnot are a mild jolt not bad. Recently drove a friends legGT on Bilsteins and I preferred that for ride quality but, very happy with Tiens
  20. I'm back, bitches. Enkei PF01 18 x 7.5 BF Goodrich comp sport 2 Tien street basis coilovers Hotchkis sways, rear mounts Kartboys endlinks Stoptech rotors Hawk pads Goodridge lines Grimmspeed MCB Megan Racing catback CNT catless DP Cobb boost unit Deatschwerks fuel pump 300lph Nakamichi double din, JBL speakers PIAA twin tone lots of other bits n bobs
  21. Thanks for the pic! Looks like she's packing back there... Agreed they first showed lower and then debuted a jacked up cladded thing ... Like exactly everyone else
