  1. Thanks for this info, sounds like you're speaking from experience. I thought about doing the same, but I've read where it could also be an injector. With deeper pockets, I would just replace everything. With the misfire fix w one coil pack, curious if doing them all would make a difference in the way the car ran. Meaning, I wonder if bc of the miles on the packs, they are each minorly symptomatic and replacing them would make her really purrrrrrrrrrr..?
  2. I was considering that... while the cover is off and everything. Just don't want the Subi gods to cast doubt on my decisions if I don't replace the tensioners and rollers if I don't replace them now. Gunna swap #3 and #1 this wknd and see if I can get the misfire code on #1. I also have a meeting w a Subaru specialist on Monday to talk about long term goals and do some diagnostics. I'll update this thread with results of both for future reference.
  3. Good stuff! Thank you. I need to just swap out the coils, like xt2005bonbon has said, and track down the problem. Either that or injectors failure. I've just been putting it off cuz I hate removing coil to do plugs on these cars. Plugs now only have about 20k on them, so I don't think I'll change them if/when I do VC gaskets. You think it might have oil on #3 paired w the misfires? Also, what did you do about your water pump? Is it a PITA to change? Just replace w an OEM pump?
  4. Glad I found this thread. Just finished reading it all. I am having basically all the same symptoms listed (leaking around the the VCs, oil dripping on the uppipe, which has caused it to crack and leak in the Grimmspeed flex, smoking due to previous), But I am also throwing the misfire cylinder #3 (P0303) code. Chance that I'm just lucky and having two different annoying problems, or might it be a head gasket issue? Also looks like my water pump might be leaking after 64k miles on the Gates one I had installed. Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.
  5. Looking for a grimmspeed uppipe. Looking for a deal Thanks
  6. I'm looking for a black, Grimmspeed radiator shroud and alternator cover for my 07 spec.B. Thanks
  7. I'm looking to replace my 13 yr old headlights with some brand new DEPO clear ones. PM me! Thanks, Caleb
  8. That's what happens when you're quarantined and bored. lol
  9. Great write-up. I've been doing a lot of digging, because the more I dug, the more interesting things I found about this bushing upgrade--what seems like a thoughtless upgrade. This settles it for me, though. Going w the Group N front and rear. Mine currently have ~177k on the stock bushings, so I cannot wait to feel this difference!!! Thanks
  10. I've researched this for years, but it's been years since I've researched it until now. Wanted to do Swifts (wagon) for my spec.B, but afraid it might lower it too much for this gravel road mountain car of mine. So, thinking about doing Pinks, but want to avoid "saggy butt." What if I just do Pinks up front and leave the rest? I need to replace my strut mounts to get rid of this horrible rattle I've been hearing for too long, so I want to kill two birds w one stone. Thoughts? Links to others talking about this? Thanks, Caleb
  11. On the second banjo bolt, the one underneath the manifold, it has a two-sided banjo bolt. Lines on opposite sides. How does that work? I've been doing a solid amount of research, and all I can find is kits with all three so it makes me skeptical.
  12. Whoops.. I mean only the hardline going from those two point, and not the third one. My friend gave my a SS line with opposite end banjos with bolts, so I'm curious if its going to work. He has done it to his 04 STi and his 09. Not LGT, though.
  13. Can someone tell if its possible to replace the hard line going from the OEM turbo to the location underneath the manifold of an 07 spec.B? Thanks.
