im going to get flamed but in my opinion these are TRASH. get some Baja design or diode led fogs if you actually want light output
-
if you arent interested in power fold like myself, I just ran the signal wires through the door loom and then up into the engine bay where I tapped the front signals for power. Youll obviously need to extend the wires for this method though

16000?? hahahahahahaha

had 102k when it started

the shuddering and grinding noises are literally the most common signs of a CVT failure...its on its way out without question. Ask me how I know as im te owner of a 13 with a fukked cvt

has anyone ordered anything? i would like to do a sti conversion to my 2011 gt but dont know where or who is the best place to start
i had the subaru option rear spoiler, rear lower lip spoiler, cyber r hood scoop and liberal bonnet spoiler on the car and had the carazon front bumper/grille/hood/side skirts and rowen rear bumper on order before my car shit itself. as corey said, it will be VERY expensive as the parts i had on order were roughly $4500 including shipping...before paint and install
-
to be 100% clear, those are purely Rowen...TommyKaira didnt authorize their name to be used for any of this
-
i had multiple sets of the Liberal gauge overlays...quality and fitment are top notch as to be expected...only issue as stated is theyre LOOONG discontinued and read in KPH...aside from that, they were a welcome upgrade
-
sounds like shitty cheap LEDs
-
So you didn't need to do anything other than pry out both sides of it? I'm probably gonna order it right now through global.rakuten.com since I found it for like $20.
Correct. Pry it out. You found a light from liberal on rakuten?
-
Just went outside to do it. LED is top dead center right in the front of the glovebox. Pry it out, swap unit, put back in. 15 seconds
-
So I just need to pry it off like the door light cover, and pop the bulb out? Is this after I take the glovebox assembly off (if I need to do that)?
Yes just let it out. You swap the whole unit as a piece. Unplug it and plug the new one in. No need to disassemble glovebox. Literally takes 15 seconds
-
Any links as far as where to buy the light itself? Can't seem to find it anywhere...
$49 shipped to my door in NC
-
Yes, you can see the LED, but to disconnect it and remove it, you need to drop the glove box assembly. (are you prying the panel out where the LED fits into? I pulled on it a bit and it didn't seem to want to go easily. Removing the glove box assembly is pretty easy, and you have all the access in the world once you do that.
yes...just pull on it and it pops out. very similar to the door lights. was literally a 15 second job to swap
-
The glove box light is an LED - to get to it, you remove the glove box and it is sitting on top. (you remove the glove box container as though you were replacing the filter, then you need to pull the hush panel under the glovebox assembly, the trim piece on the side (panel facing the door) and the trim above the glove box (the silver or fake wood trim piece) then there are 8 or so screws and you can pull the assembly out and unplug the LED. Not sure how amenable the assembly is to replacing the LED (no idea if it's a surface mount or what)
you dont have to do any of this...you just open the glovebox and the led unit is right on the top

valenti and liberal, both japanese companies are the only ones that make this replacment as far as i know. be prepared to spend in the $50 range for it
-
read it just fine...seems useless still as with most of the shit youve posted but hey
-
so if you know how to do it, whats the point of this thread? do it yourself and let the dealership rape someone else
-
i have used partsouq but shipping was stupid slow and they really only have oem replacement parts...not so much aftermarket stuff
-
it wont cause any harm to anything except your wallet....

vleds are the best on the market hands down...HIDs are good as well as long as you buy quality and not cheap chinese shit. also, i have personally tried vleds, morimoto, diode dynamics, stark, coofix and lasfit leds in my legacy and even in my current car. VLEDS are the best of the best and i ran them in my legacy for well over 5 years without a SINGLE issue
