  1. Anyone who painted the strut housings "school bus yellow" - how many 12 oz cans did it take? Did you just use standard spray Primer? Thanks..
  2. For alignment, I've always liked this thread, and post in particular: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3506722&postcount=5
  3. Fact. I'm on 245/45R18 and 18x8.5 +38 with the H&R drop. Also stock shocks for almost 2 years now and can also attest that the shock upgrade should be done. Can't wait to actually FEEL the difference..
  4. Koni 08+ WRX PNs: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/koni-yellow-sport-shocks-2010-fitment-214426.html If you want, you can buy a set of new donor front struts: KYB Excel-G Front L and R struts: Part Nos. 339222 and 339223
  5. Sorry, not at all why i asked the question. I guess I just wanted someone to tell me it was more than ~$600 for a complete set of coilovers because i just dropped some cash on Konis and donor struts to use with my H&Rs, thinking it was a justified purchase by saying "well, it's about $1500 for coilovers anyway, sooo.." I mean, my current drop isn't terrible (1.2"), but for a daily driver I'm hoping the benefit of my setup being a better quality, longer lasting set of shocks outweighs the aesthetics of more low. At least i'll tell myself that..
  6. Why are they so cheap.. am i not reading something right? Is that for like the fronts only, and the rears are another ~$500? (or vice versa).
  7. In anyone's experience - would there be any issues installing the KYB OEM Front struts (PNs 339222 and 339223, which are recommended for the '10-'12 MYs) on a 2013? Looking to pull the trigger on this.
  8. Interesting.. thanks a lot for the input. Guess it couldn't hurt to get them looked at. Yeah, i kind of took the whole 'well, 2013s came with stiffer springs anyway' to justify keeping the stock shocks. Zee - i've been on the H&Rs with stock shocks for about 1.5 years
  9. Recently my suspension feels very "loose" compared to a couple weeks ago.. When i hit bumps the car seems to wiggle a bit, and feels as if i lose control for a split second. It feels very boaty.. When i hit a bump around a bend the car feels like it strafes slightly, and honestly it's a bit frightening. It feels front-end related but i can't exactly tell. The only suspension mods i have are H&R springs, a 20mm RSB, and poly front and rear SB bushings, which i've had all for over a year with no issues until now. Nothing looks abnormal underneath, but before this issue my buddy used my LCAs (passenger rear and driver front, not at the same time of course) when removing my wheels for some stud maintenance. Entirely different issue.. Wheels are torqued, tire pressure regular, everything looks ok.. Could raising the corners of the car with the LCAs have caused this instability? I can't imagine needing an alignment, as nothing has been recently modified..
  10. How much additional drop do we get from Koni/H&R as opposed to Stock/H&R? Is it negligible?
  11. Appreciate the responses. Realize there's a s-ton of threads on it, but thought i'd work a jab for a quick reference in there.. Looks good on both your cars! Will try it soon.. Cheers.
  12. Did you tint your tail lights yourself / remember what you used?
  13. Emotional tolerance - the wheel gap on your passenger side will look noticeably larger than driver side. I've learned to curb my frustration..
  14. she annoys me sometimes, but looks good in her autumn attire..
  15. It's not bronze per say, but i dipped my wheel covers "vintage gold" for the winter if you wanna get an idea of what it looks like on DGM.. mind the gap, they're old pics
  16. Yep, I posted a short writeup with pics when I took them off.. http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4545921&postcount=141 The tabs to remove them from the housing piece are super delicate so take it slow.
  17. Have you ever considered blacking out the rim around the fog lights? Simple to do.. think it would look pretty nice with your theme.
  18. Pics after installing springs, H&R Sport p/n 54427. Hopefully anticipating some more settling in the weeks to come. I can definitely feel an improvement in cornering.. feel very planted. Very slight camber in rear wheels (don't have exact numbers). I don't feel it bouncing too much over small rollers, though my oem shocks are only 18 months old so I probably can't talk to that just yet. Feel more in control in general, very happy with the purchase. Excellent price too through Emnotek. Quick measurements, center hub to top of arch, ± 1/16": FL - 14.5"..... FR - 14.75" RL - 14.5"..... RR - 14.5" In my haste I forgot to measure oem heights so there's nothing to compare to, unless someone stock wants to quickly measure theirs?
  19. Scooby-GT's writeup on Swift install on his 2013 2.5i: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/swift-springs-2013-legacy-2-5i-6mt-194770.html?t=194770&highlight=swift+2013
  20. Can anybody recommend a trustworthy seller of Swift springs for a 2012 LGT (p/n 4F910)? I'd like to look for a decent deal, but more importantly looking to support a forum vendor.
  21. Hm are you selling? In short, yes, but i'd need to learn more about it before pulling the trigger.. like which attachments and fairing can be used with it. I also don't absolutely need it so it would have to be a sweet price
  22. Yes, thank you for posting these specs.. I was looking into 235/40 but wasn't sure how they would fit. They look solid. I'm running 245/45 on 18x8.5 and it's just way too bulky for my liking. If anyone's interested, I have under 1k miles on them and looking to trade/sell.. Dunlop Direzza D101. I'll make a FS thread eventually, once this damn snow clears and i can take some good pics..
