Option #3
Getting into the HPDE hobby should be done in your current car. Just be sure the brakes and tires are better than 50%
Your first few events will be learning lots of things that modifications or upgrades will diminish. Learn the lines, braking and acceleration zones and get confident in a stock car, then transition with small mods at a time. Don't add another mod until you've learned to get the most out of the previous one.
And be warned...track days are a rabbit hole...but they are oh so fun.

Sold the 3.6R today, took off all the fun parts first so I'll be selling lots soon.

If a glass shop and/or dealership installs a non-factory glass on an Eyesight equipped vehicle and the Eyesight system fails to perform properly resulting in an accident, that shop or dealership with be liable.
Why take the chance?

Purchased 2015 Legacy new June 2015
Replace windshield for a crack with no obvious chip/reason August 2015
May 2015 Replaced windshield is cracked for no apparent reason. Dealer says it is a stone chip, and will not cover under warranty.
2 windshields in less than 2 years? I know there is a documented problem, has anyone else had experience getting their dealer to take responsibility?
Appreciate any information or others experiences. Thank You.
The dealership has no responsibility except to perform warranty repairs on your vehicle. The warranty only covers defects in materials or workmanship.
Considering the windshield is impacted daily by everything from sand, dirt, wood chips, pebbles and rocks at speeds up to at least highway speeds, it should not be surprising that they get chipped and/or cracked regularly. These are all called outside influences and are NOT a defect.

there is still the autobox problem. Until Subaru comes out with a auto that can handle over 300hp/tq, all this engine speculation is just that.
The current HT-CVT can handle the power, if it is properly cooled. Which it is not in any of it's current applications.

^ lemon laws apply to any car that is still under manufacturer warranty and depending upon when they bought their car, they may still be under that warranty.
Not true, it is not tied to the warranty at all. Each state has their own rules and people should check with their states Attorney General to see what qualifies as a lemon in their state.
In Florida, a "Lemon" can only be claimed within the first 24 months after the date of purchase.

buy reinforcements for the mounting points. With the 20mm bar you will bend the stock mounting points if you use the twisty roads aggressively. I installed the AVD ones as you can see here:

I auto-x & track my car....aggressively...never bent any sway bar mounts or brackets...

Can anyone confirm or deny if the OEM engine cover on the 3.6R still fits with the Takeda intake?
-
You have to go custom. I had a y-pipe welded and hangers installed on the right side. That and 2 MagnaFlow cost me 600 from a local shophttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161130/21223a4d6fb2fc73c8595de539712d34.jpg

Any pictures of the setup underneath the car? How does it sound? Part numbers of mufflers & tips used?

There is an additional, and separate harness in the headliner for the Homelink mirror. It is usually taped to the main harness with blue tape, that is what the H501SSG010 plugs into. You don't need anything additional.

That would be incriminating for some of us
This is why I won't show a pic under the shelf in the trunk

Or how about what you store in the compartments of that foam tray where the spare tire is kept?

Legacy to be discontinued after 2025 model year

Toyota is slowly killing Subaru....
Bought more and more stake as Subaru quality and volume improved...
Used them to help produce a 2-door sports car, then had them build it in a Subaru factory to use up valuable production space, then took 83% of the cars produced to help their own numbers.
Convinced them to go full EV by 2030, knowing if it fails, Subaru doesn't have the $$$ to survive...
Had them ax the new STI because the GR Corolla was coming and they didn't want the competition...
Had them ax the Legacy because it was affecting Camry sales...
