  1. Wonder what they will replace the part with, could the new part have the same issue down the track. Would the dealer allow you to hold onto your old part as a spare ?
  2. So recently I rebuilt my ej25. Car wouldn't fire up, just cranking forever. Found my issue to be as simple as 2 connectors interchanged just like this post: https://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5287415&postcount=15 I know you've checked the wiring already, but it would be something I'd double check.
  3. As a consumer I have a right to shop around and ask for a price match or negotiated price. As a business if you don't like that I'll take my business elsewhere. I've worked in the past at a Subaru dealership, as a business manager. From experience I can tell you that customers who don't ask for a discount won't get one... Either way I do all my own work on my cars so couldn't care less if mechanics go out of business. And I'd actually be happy to see dealerships go out of business and have cars sold online. I'm not from America so don't stress.
  4. Some of the parts are overpriced. I'd ask them to match partsouq for the parts. For example, the 2x idler pulleys 13073aa142 on partsouq would be $80.52 (28.82$ each), but the price listed in that invoice is $153.90. They shouldn't charge you for a new oil pan ($147.57), is yours damaged? But 100% agree that the heads should be taken to a machine shop before bolting back on, even if not overheated. That will eat up the above savings.
  5. With the P0420, you can usually just disable the code via romraider and everything will be fine. Won't have any issues. Had to do this on mine. Common thing. Do you have a way to do that with your cobb tuner ? I can help to edit the map if you have a way to pull it.
  6. Couldn't just use a hot soldering iron to melt the plastic shut? Anyway good work on the progress. Please keep pics coming and possibly a write-up.
  7. Cost me about $90 for one of those filters here in Australia. I'm interested to see if anyone performs the relocation and where/how you mount the filter in the engine bay.
