  1. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s305/sadiemaerogers01/0524141736_zpsc3a4bb7e.jpg Washed, clay bar'ed, polished, waxed, rain x'd windows. Plus did my fiance's car AND her sisters van!
  2. I got a great deal on new sway bar links, so i got those installed yesterday. I can tell my rear sway bar is working better lol.
  3. Haven't updated progress yet, but scratched the plaster and used concrete. The plaster broke trying to get it out of the mold. This weekend i may be doing a test mold.
  4. Scratch the plaster mold idea........ cracked it getting it out. Now on to concrete....
  5. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s305/sadiemaerogers01/IMG_0649_zps07a0b397.jpg Me making molds of one of the headlamp lenses. Gonna try molding new lenses that i learned from here http://www.sr20-forum.com/fabrication-howtos/43987-how-make-simple-shapes-out-clear-plastic.html and here http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?18780-The-Clear-Lens-Forming-Thread
  6. Found some gallon jugs of Valvoline's Maxlife trans fluid at my wally-world clearanced out for $13.00 each. I snagged a couple jugs.
  7. Finally solved an intermittent driveability issue i was having. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s305/sadiemaerogers01/0318141253_zps6bf6bfec.jpg I switched the coil end of the wires last june to try the MSD coil, but i wasn't happy with the coil, so i switched the coil end of the wires BACK to stock and put the stock coil back in..... yet found the coil end of the wires all rusted and corroding.... So i got a new coil and set of wires.... which also seemed to fix a slight vibration issue during this specific rpm band i was having, plus so far solved the random dying... On a side note, i also got http://www.surrealmirage.com/vrg3/b10scan/ this to work, using an old laptop to read data and trouble codes....
  8. Finally ditched that crappy Bosch universal O2 sensor and got an NTK O2. I have NO idea why i was running the Bosch..... I know better than that... lol.
  9. Both. Green switch connects to green, white to black (only cause the package didnt have a black cover).. I just used a crimp on type connector to plug into the check connectors, no cutting off the factory connectors. Ya, i dont have any better pics cause i did it at work and installed it outside, and it was only 5 degrees out.....
  10. Developed a "lazy" way of getting trouble codes...... http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/198/61ky.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/844/9stc.jpg just flip the switch....
  11. Were getting more snow here in northern Indiana.... yippie.... NOT.... actually, i don't mind it, my subie gets me around... http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/31/2cqm.jpg Finished up my water pump bracket, ya, i know, i cut off the bottom of the pic, but hope you get the idea.....
  12. I have been keeping an eye on my heater temps lately. I've felt the heat hasn't been good enough, so i been driving around with a digital meat thermometer (i use this in the summer for a/c work), and noticed sitting at lights my heater temps drop, sometimes below 100, yet go up heading down the road. Highway or constant traveling i get close to/or around 130. So, i ordered an electric auxiliary water pump(ones that MB and Audi's use). http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/835/l9j3.jpg And BINGO!! even sitting still for 10 minutes, im getting 140 degree heater temps!! So before you say it, NO, its not the heater core's fault, as the heat is there. Im thinking its that crappy Advance Auto water pump, but not gonna worry about that till spring. And btw, you can't even hear it run, its really quiet. And don't ask how i wired it, its complicated lol...
  13. A little teaser for how im dealing with the cold... not finished yet.... http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/320x240q90/24/p5u4.jpg
  14. Sunday we got hammered with snow and it hovered around 20. That evening thru monday it dropped to -12 and has just stayed there till today. right now its -5. I was out in the snow all day sunday. Monday around 10am i hit the remote start and it fired up no problem. Went out later that day, no problem (just poor heat output in this cold). She fired up this morning no problem either. Maybe im just lucky?...... lol
  15. Just after getting around 12+ inches of snow on sunday, it hits -12 degrees for the actual temp.. COLD for my area.. i actually had ice on the INSIDE of my windows..... http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/5/fiuf.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/89/0v0q.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/838/gvrv.jpg
  16. we just got hit with a snow storm. so far around 10"+. I only have fwd, but my subie LOVES snow. Not easily stuck. Spent the whole day out driving around it, passing suv's... but they cant drive. About to hit around 15 below tonight... Not sure about the rest of ya, but my subie doesn't seem to like super cold... takes forever to warm up in general. Oh well, its only suppose to last a couple days.
  17. Made a "skid plate", so to speak, for my 93. Right now its a prototype. This one is made from some large piece of aluminum i found. I have a nice thicker plate i'll eventually make one from. http://imageshack.us/a/img823/5597/l0zd.jpg
  18. I just installed those struts this evening. Book time calls for 4.5 hours. I just did it in less than 2 hours. Outside, (no lift, just a floor jack), in the cold (about 25 degrees), in the snow, in the dark, with hand tools. Im such a mechanical beast... lol.
  19. New rear struts waiting to go in. Extra protection provided by Spray Max 2k urethane. I hate rust.... http://imageshack.us/a/img842/7774/jeuz.jpg
  20. I have a couple of rudimentary pics of finishing up my brace. http://imageshack.us/a/img31/4352/g90e.th.JPG http://imageshack.us/a/img31/4352/g90e.th.JPG http://imageshack.us/a/img811/7370/okp8.th.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img690/8862/n869.th.jpg
  21. back in may i installed Goodridge SS brake hoses with Akebono pads and centric rotors, AND a homemade master cylinder brace. GET a master cylinder brace, that is if ya wanna be thrown thru the windshield... LOL...
  22. We jsut got hit with at LEAST 8" of snow!! LOVE IT LOL.. My subie loves the snow... But as murphys law would have it, im planning on taking it out of town tomorrow and as i left the apartment today, all of a sudden the left rear strut is clunking. SUCKS. I knew it was leaking a bit, and wasnt making any louder than normal noise. PLus no local parts store stocks struts... Dam. im talking about clearing the INSIDE of the lens. Getting that "prismatic" look off. As far as the OUTSIDE of the lens, I've always had the best luck with elbow grease, e.i., sanding. Starting with around 300ish grit and working up to 2000 grit. THEN, finishing the job with Meguiars Plast-X (in a white bottle) and an electric buffer with foam pad. Works AMAZING. Of course the key to KEEPING them clear is Minwax Helsman Spar urathane and mineral spirits "concoction", as i call it lol.
  23. I would, but I don't have thorough pics of the job. I just tore into the job and got it done. I DID, however, got a pic of the "cutoff" with the cleared lenses. http://imageshack.us/a/img22/6675/p5ca.jpg No sharp cutoff like i see with other pics or even my friends Sedona with projectors. Even though i don't have before or after pics of the clear lenses, I suggest to anyone just save your time and DON'T clear the lens. No real difference to me. HOWEVER, the HID's are awesome. I feel they cut thru the snow and rain much better than halogens even though they are brighter. Better vision all around. On another note, i am working on an engine skid plate. i have a nice, large aluminum plate that will make a great plate. Im hoping it will give me some mpg..... That and hoping to keep things warmer in the engine bay this winter. Here in northern Indiana we already hit near 0 lows a couple times.......
  24. Finally got around to clearing the INSIDE of my headlamps, http://imageshack.us/a/img802/5773/26pk.jpg TOTAL pain-in-the-a&%....... sheesh. They dont look perfect, but i dont care. Now im just curious to the HID cutoff now.....
