  1. I'd just feel better if I could trailer her. I'd be very SOL if something happened on the way to California, can't miss my start date for DLI.

why is it $700 for a trailer ? i towed my lgt 200ish miles, kept a rented truck and trailer overnight and drove them back for under $200, including fuel.

  2. im sure no one even looks in here, but heres a question... when i took the crossover water pipe off the ej25 i saw some weird gel stuff in one of the ports. any ideas what it could be? heres a pic of it

trying to decide if im taking it down to bearings and doing a full rebuild or not. so far the rings seem decent, and the cylinders are good.

also, anyone know what possibilities i have for cam upgrades on the ej25? i wouldnt mind doing a bit of upgrade while rebuilding this thing.

  3. Mine is only fwd, a thing many people don't believe until I show them. A lot of people think that all subaru's are 4wd. Not the case.

i get the same weird looks when i tell them i have a FWD subaru wagon. i dont mind tho, i can buy two tires at a time, and dont have to worry about a spare being too new/ old.

I think all Subarus (since early 90s?) in USA are AWD, right?

nope, my 95 is an actual FWD from the factory, no rear parts at all on him. i think 95 was the last year of the option tho.

  4. so far, ive spent about 3 minutes looking at the motor due to being out of town for work and stuff. the kid did the HG job and everything, put it back together and had no compression on any cylinder. im gonna put it on the stand this week and check the timing on it, maybe i will get lucky and there is no real damage. the motor came with all the sensors, harnesses and intake manifold attached. pretty sweet deal.
