  1. whoo hooo! I FINALLY RAN MY 12! In the new STI and not changing ANYTHING (other than driver mod). 12.94 @ 101 mph (my traps were low, but I'll take it anyways!)
  2. agreed. you can clean up the map a little, but your 60' sucketh. you need to work on that. get it to 1.8's and you should easily be in 13's.
  3. well, we're not at 0 ft sea level, but 70 ft is pretty damn close! and overcast, good temps (could have been 40's for optimal turbo happiness). Frustrating me because I know it's ME that's preventing the 12's and NOT the car at this point. I'm half tempted to swap tires or something, get something a little less weight than 18" wheels. Eh.. we'll see see. drag radials would be sweet. Actually one point of the night, I thought I killed my rear diff because I shot out of the hole so hard it jerked to the right. So I let off the gas a little, make sure the car was still running... oh well. And I think I need some shifter bushings. I missed 3rd on 2 of my runs. I mean, I went to shift into 3rd and it would NOT go in! I was getting extremely pissed! But I figured my times were decent since one of those runs I still ran 13.28 with missing 3rd and trying to stuff it in gear. Phew! my clutch is STINKY! added Timeslip http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v384/trdvibe/Test%20N%20Tune%20June%2011%2008/TT1303.jpg
  4. argh!!!! So, not the LGT anymore, however the new car: 08 STI Stock with AMR CAI Cobb AP V2 I added a new map tonight from AMR and also tried one from PDX. I had better results from the AMR map, so thank you Rob for helping me out last minute and through the technical difficulties. 55 deg, AK Raceway Park, 70 ft sea level +.5269 RT 1.7940 60' 5.3542 330' 7.7641 ET @ 594' 8.3061 1/8 ET 83.02 1/8 MPH 13.0370 1/4 ET 104.19 1/4 MPH To compare with my best run ever in the LGT: Ran on 8/15/07 55 deg (about the same temps and conditions) +.5188 RT 1.83550 60' 5.3112 330' 7.7051 ET @ 594' 8.2362 1/8 ET 84.72 1/8 MPH 12.8650 1/4 ET 105.43 1/4 MPH So you can see where my 4th gear shift is really hurting my #'s. However, the trap speed definitely shows the car can run 12's, now I just need to drive her there!
  5. I think next time, I'm going to swap out tires..... just to see if that will make a difference. They signed me up to race for the Subie dealer on June 21. THe other guy will be Josh, he's got a GT35R in his 02 WRX. thing is a beast! he ran an 11.8 last night (I obviously got beat) and it was amazing!
  6. really? and the temps too. but I was looking at Dave's times for AMR. he ran a 12.9 @ 108 mph but it was 30 deg!!!! holy crap! I WISH i could even get a 45 deg day and run the car... I'm sure with a little better shift (once I figure out when to shift) at 4th gear, I can get the car in 12's without a fancy race gas map like I had in the LGT.
  7. well, not the leggy any more, but I had similar times in the LGT at the start of last track season, so should be interesting to see how it goes by the end. First time to the track and first runs in an MT. 2008 STI AMR CAI 90 octane tune by Jarad of PDX Tuning 64 deg 79' sea level http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v384/trdvibe/Test%20N%20Tune%20May%2021%2008/scansione0001.jpg For comparison's sake: 2005 LGT 5EAT STI swap (VF39, STI TMIC) stock fuel and injectors gutted up/dp SPT CBE SPT Intake/Heatshield TGV Deletes IPT Valvebody temps were about 70 deg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v384/trdvibe/Test%20N%20Tune%20May%2013%2007/CIMG1425.jpg
  8. no, you don't send in your entire transmission, just the Valve body and solenoids. If you can find someone selling their stock VB, so you don't have down time, that's the easiest way, but not too many of those floating around.

    trying this again.

I'm trying to see if this will work now.... different computer.
  11. I had to have everything shipped to my work office or business. But when I left and had to bring everything I had bought home with me.... there were many many questions of "where'd that come from?" or "when did you get that?" or comments "i see you got new rims" or "is that a ...... for the car?" etc.
  12. which is what I'm in the process of doing. If I can get 50% of what I paid, then I'm doing well, otherwise, it's closer to that 30% after I include shipping and Paypal fees, time it takes to bring her back to stock, etc. I started to calculate how much I've spent on the new car already: tint $200 Clear Bra $1000 Parrot BT $335 installed Rear cargo liner $50 All weather mats $50 Cargo tray $40 Mudflaps $80 STI heater seat switch $70 STI drivers side heated seat elements $270 (to be installed by myself once I find the wire harness hidden inside the car) Tune w/ Jarrad $150 Cost to bring Jarrad $90 Cobb AP $625 Front Lip and vent visors from japanparts.com $778 eh... ya.....
  13. I never installed the tranny mounts. Only thing were the Cobb RSB and rear endlinks, had S-tech springs for the first 2 yrs and then switched to coilovers. But my exhaust drowned out just about any kind of noise and since I did the STI swap, the car made all sorts of wierd noises. It could be that I do have the growl, just never realized it.
  14. well, only growl I got was the wheel bearings so those were replaced and fixed. Now I'm going to have to pay more attention and listen for any odd noises.
  15. wow. I had S-techs, RSB, and Stg 1/2 and no odd growl noises, not even with my GP Moto Coilovers.
  16. Well, I spoke to Subaru Puyallup and they wouldn't even come close to matching! oh well, their loss!
  17. Well for reference to those who are curious on the VIP pricing difference: 2008 STI hatch w/ BBS package (no nav) and ipod integration kit and sport grill MSRP $38,900 (including destination fee, but not including add'l dealer fee: $40,100) Employee Pricing $36,000 (including destination fee) VIP Program Pricing $35,300 (including destination fee, rust proofing, GAP insurance, not including down payment)
  18. well, I plan to detail, wash, wax and clay bar the new car once it arrives. should be in a week, maybe 2.
  19. GAP costs me $300, so it's pretty cheap buying it thru the dealer for me. and I just ordered my VIP paperwork today. They are telling me the car should arrive in about 10-14 days now.
  20. wow. sounds like that guy has issues! most of the Finance guys I've dealt with know they don't make much money from me on those since I get them at cost. They don't care either way. I always get the GAP though, but don't bother with extended warranty anymore.
  21. lol. well, I know all the Finance guys so it's not an issue for me. There are some things that make me irritated about them, but they are a dealership, so that's to be expected. Overall, they've done a good job for me, even before hubby started working there. This will be our 3rd Subie we've bought from them since April 2005.
