  1. Pressure drop isn't bad on its own. Remember, the amount of air in the system is a function of pressure X temperature. I'd rather have the same amount of air at lower pressure and lower temperature, that will result in less stress on the motor and it results in a more reliable tune. Yes, it can also mean that there's more headroom for the turbo too, but who cares?

  3. So i pulled out the fuel pump housing again, cleaned it all out, reinstalled the old pump, replaced the O-rings, and plugged it back in. Car starts and runs, no issues.
  4. Hey guys, I have no idea where to post this... My 2008 specB was dead, blown motor, from 3/11/2013 until recently. Cracked a piston, appears to be detonation, signs of a lean condition. I'm suspicious that maybe it lost fuel pressure. Stored outside, never put stabilizer in the fuel. (I know, I suck). Recently put in a new motor, with ID1k injectors. It had a DW65C in it with <5K miles. I replaced with with a brand new DW65c when i encountered issues. Stock wiring, though I have a DW wiring kit on the way. Here are my issues: Car starts, runs for less than five seconds, and dies. Pulled the fuel return line on the strut tower, I only get trickles while priming. Pulled the fuel feed line on the strut tower, I get a short decent stream every other prime attempt Pulled the feed off of the fuel pump, same thing The pump getting 12V when the key goes to ON, haven't checked to see what it's getting once the car starts. I haven't check to see what the fuel pump duty cycle is after the car starts. Is there something I could be missing? Could a incorrectly routed or unplugged purge control solenoid on the engine cause this? Could there be a problem with the fuel tank pressure sensor or pressure control solenoid valve or hoses? Could the FPCM or relay or associated wiring be bad? if this needs to go in a different location in the forum, sorry.
  5. The last time I talked to Mikey, the Shop reads about 5-10% higher than EFI. So you probably gained some power, despite what the numbers say (apples to orange comparison). What does the butt dyno say? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  6. Yes, you'll just have a different hose on the turbo side, same as the process west solution for this hybrid setup
  7. You guys need to do a shoot together and I'll run a new feature on both of you for a Six Speed Mafia update! LOL
  8. I'd like to see testing with all stock size turbos in this fitment (VF40/VF46/VF52) as well as the largest OEM fitment (flanged) turbos like the BNR 20G or Kinugawa 20G, then go nuts with an STI fitment FP Red or stock location 35R. It seems like aftermarket options either cater to the VF40-18G range, or the big aftermarket range (20g+), with only the PW showing gains on all. The spearco was even shown to hurt performance on small turbos like the VF40/46.
