  1. Subaru uses some cheap materials in the seats. Even the seats without the lumbar support have wires that pop off. I had to pull both seat backs off to fix and I'm only 190 lbs. Best lumbar support I ever had was a pneumatic pump like a blood pressure cuff bulb. Infinitely adjustable and never had a problem....though I could see others having problems. I would wear gloves when fighting that elastic strap underneath too. Lots of sharp edges of rusty sheet metal.
  2. You guys definitely describe the more thorough way to do the job. I just buy use a small pump (like from a handsoap container) and pump the reservior empty into a jug and then refill with clean fluid. I then drive the car a day and repeat. After a couple times the fluid is completely clean.
  3. Bet you are having fun. Get rid of the oem tires (if you still have them) for even more fun.
  4. You are a michelin fan right? Got a question. Do you like the mxm4 or mxv4 better?
  5. All excellent suggestions. YouTube has some Subaru plug removal videos too. Looks like pulling the battery, wiped fluid tank and air box help. Not a big deal.
  6. Fanstastic. Great job detailing. Our windshield had a wacky film on it when the car was new. It was like the factory or local dealership dumped liquid wax on it. The wipers would glide across it and it would get milky. I had to use Bon Ami powder to cut through the crap and get the windows sparkling. There were some other detail issues that the local dealer didn't do well on. You did fantastic. Nice additions on the tints by the way.
  7. Legacy360 has one of the nicest looking and sounding exhaust systems I've seen.
  8. Dealer did it for me and included it in the deal. Got the rims, dismounted tires, mounted tires back on rims and balanced. I didn't get the old steels though. The rim price was better than any on line and wasn't charged for shipping.
  9. The neighbor has a BMW X5 and it doesn't have enough room and is expesive to repair. The resale value is good, but he wants a Subaru. Subaru's are safe, have a great AWD system and highest resale in the industry. The gas mileage is great for an AWD system too. He is a big guy and interior room is important.
  10. Thanks. They didn't throw them in for free, but it was a fair deal. The neighbor is looking at an outback now.
  11. You guys have a keen eye. Couldn't stomach the steel wheels with caps and had the dealer pop those on before leaving the dealership. Not excited about the style, but good for the time being. They look good rolling. The Forester folks probably think the wheels they look funny. What's your opinion? As far as the color, ours looks charcoal in the day and almost steel blue at night. I think graphite grey is one of the best colors these cars come in.
