anyone know the part #'s offhand for the two front axle rings and the driveshaft to transmission seal gasket/oring?

Is there any difference between the 04 sti 6speed and the 05. I've located a few fairly priced 04 sti 6speeds with limited mileage. Just made a few calls around, for the price of ppgs sti transmission is a much better decision.

Ok. I've done research: STI 06 6 Spd MT-allows me to run the 1:1 stepper and retain the r160 rear end. All i would need is to find this transmission, legacy auto 2.5i driveshaft, clutch, flywheel, and spiider dccd system. Holy fawk. Only to break my r160 diff knowing my luck and make me upgrade in the future to spec b axles and a torsen r180 diff.

Just read this entire thread. To sum: If i can find a cheap 06 sti transmission/r180diff, all i would need is a 2.5i auto driveshaft and spec b axles for the r180 diff. DCCD would not be necessary? I realize i could keep my r160 diff, but at this point i trust nothing oem on my vehicle.

a gt28 is not much different than a td06 20g, its not anywhere near the level of a gt30.

^yup im pleasantly surprised with the quality. Here's a snapshot of my desktop on the eee pc . just received my eee pc, awesome little machine. Absoultely perfect for logging and browsing the net. Still would not use it as main computer though honestly.

no, it depends on whats broken and if you salvage your block. Labor is what kills you. Costs around 2k in parts to rebuild these blocks so they're good for 450whp.

no, you just wont get the most out of it imo.
