I used 5 liters to do the trans and the rear diff.
-
Those are really nice... it's the shipping from Japan that kills me....
I sent the ebay seller a msg, asking if he's willing to ship to Canada waiting on their response.
-
Not anywhere on this continent. There's a set of SWP OEM rear spats that have been on Croooober forever. Pretty cheap (only about $25), but shipping will be expensive. I got a shipping quote to Chicago and it was around $80 for shipping. https://www.croooober.com/en/item/6875197
Other than that, you can go with the Ebay 3-piece set that's a clone of the DAMD rear bumper kit. Has a middle piece and two side pieces. The side pieces are fine enough, but the middle piece is a bit of a pain to fit to the USDM bumper, and the fit isn't great. I got mine second hand, so I just have the middle piece. Held on with self-tappers and 3m tape. It does looks nice though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/322693902527
Other than that, there's a bevy of rear lip options, but they're all expensive and all will have to be shipped from Japan, so figure $1000 at least just to start.
thanks
I don't like the croober model... and I found the ebay one (because thats the set I want) but they don't ship to Canada...

Anyone know where I can find a rear diffuser and spats/side rear?...not side skirts, but the splitters on the rear bumper

is it motul 75w90 300 or the motul 75w90 300 LS? and how many liter for the trans 5?
EDIT..... never mind found what I couldn't previously found...
Rear diff and 6MT use the same weight
From a post a while back:
Been liking Extra-S
Tightening torque 6MT:
44 N·m (4.5 kgf-m, 32.5 ft-lb) (Aluminum gasket silver) (this is the one gotten from the dealer)
70 N·m (7.1 kgf-m, 51.6 ft-lb) (Copper gasket brown)
70 N·m (7.1 kgf-m, 51.6 ft-lb) (Metal gasket black)
Gear oil capacity: 3.7 liters (3.9 US qt, 3.3 Imp qt)
Extra S for the rear diff as well
Oil capacity: 0.8 liters (0.8 US qt, 0.7 Imp qt)
Tightening torque: 49 N·m (5.0 kgf-m, 36.1 ft-lb)

I have the Whiteline trans crossmember bushings (been sitting on the shelf since September 2013) [okay, I'm ashamed] and I know which Group N trans mount to buy....but which Whiteline diff inserts do I buy?
REAR DIFF INSERTS KDT903

what size shim/spacer can I run before I need to extend the bolts?... eg I might need a shim for the brembos.. I assume with a 5mm I should still be able to use the oem studs.
-
is there any trunk spoiler, that would cover the oem spoiler holes... i want something more "duck bill" off the trunk but I can't find one that goes deep enough.

My understanding, according to the Cobb site, is that they won't do the trade between different models. i.e. an AP-SUB-003 v2 can only be used to trade up to an AP-SUB-003 v3, not to an "AP-KIA-001" if such a thing should ever exist (current tuning solutions are sensor piggyback chips)
It'll probably be a while before I feel like it needs more powah (i'm not naive enough to think I'll never feel that way). However...It's already stupid fast. It goes like a scalded cat. 100 smiles per gallon
The trade up won't work... but you can send in your whatever model and they'll reprogram it... eg I had one for mazda and they flashed it to subaru. It cost me about 100usd... then I traded it for a v3

Morimoto subaru led fog lights
i'm sure you guys could find a morimoto supplier State side, the link is for a Canadian company that supplies most of my light upgrades.
-
fixxed by swapping 2 of the leds out to halogen, now I just need to figure out the difference resistance between led and halogen.
-
Adding a brake light to the circuit increases load (unless you swapped out to LED bulbs), but that doesn't matter, the brakes should be off anyway when you hit the remote starter. It's seems like a coincidental and completely different issue.
i swapped to led, at lunch I'll test if swapping out 2 of the 4 bulbs to halogen will fix it.
-
thanks , I have that page, i was looking for an answer to the car starter won't start due to low resistance on brake lights.
-
hey guys searched on here couldn't find the answer i'm looking for...
yesterday I did the quad brake light mod, and now my car starter doesn't want to work, I assume it's from the car starter not sensing the brakes are on, I assume a load resistor would work eg...
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B015JHP5QC/ref=ox_sc_mini_detail?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1OYOF5XKHAXEV
but want to make sure it's the right resistance, I remember reading about it some where just can't find it anymore.

Saw Ken's beautiful 2011 GT in the Auto Salon today at the SF International Auto Show. Great talking with you Ken! -
The RLG coupon is an extra 20% added onto the volume discount - so it's $50 if you are spending $400. If you just buy a shift boot, it's only 20% (they appear to apply the volume discount to the reduced amount - so if you spec a shift boot at $55, then knock off 20%, you are below $50, so you don't get the 10% off $50 discount...
the site also doesn't allow you to stack discounts (maybe just a glitch?)
I was all excited at 50% off, thought I might try something different on my shift book (already have one from them - great product, just thought I'd try something a little different)
I tried to apply more than one discount and it wouldn't let me... I wanted 50%+5%+10%... but at the end I just got 20% off the boot like you stated...

I usually just take off the bumper.. it's quicker.
BONUS:.... you'll finish with more skin on your knuckles..
