  1. just curious as to why you went with the vled ones?... I run these, I had the same problem as you. https://www.amazon.ca/uxcell%C2%AE-2Pcs-Resistor-25ohm-Signal/dp/B00X73LP5Q/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1522092109&sr=8-4&keywords=load+resistors+25w in principle they are the same as the vled ones just less expensive and maybe a couple minutes extra to hook up.
  2. You have the exedy with an oem flywheel right?... did you resurface the flywheel or just get a new oem?
  3. AHHHHHHHHHHH.... I think it's clutch time... dammit........ lol My options are ... exedy and act... trying to figure out which to go with... exedy 15952 + FF502A flywheel ACT SB11-HDSS These two are readily available to me, i'm not sure... they are both equally reviewed/talked about.
  4. Anyone every use the greddy timing belt greddy 13564500 - Timing Belt trying to figure out why they want 300+ cdn dollars for it?
  5. Agreed... this is my second time around.. i've been using this forum since 2010.. i've donated to a free site ... I believe its only fair. The original "debate" was "easy"... and that was the point/joke of my original comment.
  6. It goes hand in hand, find a subaru installer(yes 99%) and talk to him about a fifth gen he'll look at you crooked, tell him you have any 08+ wrx/sti and he's a bible I'm sure. same thing with most parts... yah an ebcs from 15+ wrx will fit but I guarantee you won't find one that comes with instructions for installing in a fifth gen. will it work.. sure, is it as easy to install on a fifth gen as a wrx?.... No. That's all I'm saying....
  7. we're comparing easy mods... not mechanical//structural difference, also i think there may be a couple of other differences, than engine mounts. ... maybe ...
  8. ok.... ok....I'm wrong it's super easy to find parts for this car, Perrin, grimspeed, avo,cobb.etc...... developed metric sh!tloa@ds of parts for our car, if I go on subie speed, rallysport, ebay..... and type in 2010-12 subaru legacy the amount of parts that come up are abundant. If i'm looking for a front lip there are more than one option avalible. If i look up Easy peezy parts like MBCB// air intake every big name company makes one... grimspeed, perrin, cobb. the biggest tuner of subaru maybe world wide.... Cobb offers maps for all configurations//stages for fifth gens... Don't tell me it's easy to modify a fifth gen compared to an Impreza wrs//sti.... come on guys. When i look up parts for my 2016 wrx ... every manufacturer has their version of the piece... eg look up aero pieces for it. you'll have 10 choices of front lips.
  9. really? Can we really compare the "easy" list of mods for an impreza vs the "easy" mods vs the fifth gen?... just the fact that the mods you two mention were not originally designed for the fifth gen ... it was this community that figured out they would fit. should be proof enough.
  10. EASY WAYS ARE FOR BABIES...... Get an Impreza...lol lol... if it's easy it's probably not worth it, and doesn't fit a fifth gen.
  11. Just doubting myself, ... Can I install my charge pipe and full recirc bpv without tuning?.. I'm thinking yes, but am doubting myself.
  12. thanks yah like those... then i cake them in whatever glue to avoid rusting.
  13. embed little metal tabs in the pu, then tighten the mesh with those. Like the metal tabs on those folders for kids that you fold to hold the sheets. its the way i did mine.. once the mesh is positioned i just glued all the metal tabs down. sorry i could only get pics monday
  14. hehehe.. I've done this several times.. buy a semi busted beater(something thats easy for you to fix) for cheap... +/-500$ invest 500$ and some time, use for your purposes and sell for 1500$... works like a charm... also timing is critical, spring is when a lot of people get rid of their beaters...
  15. I know I'll be happy .. I'm going to be running the same specs as my first build... http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/spideys-2012gt-build-thread-201999.html
  16. Ordered a new set of Wheels.... konig oversteer 19x8.5 +45 .... really wasn't happy with the fitment of the 19x9.5s ... it could probably work, but the work that would be involved is too much for me, also I feel it would reduce the purpose of the car.. I want to be able to drive my car without thinking... ohh I shouldn't hit that bump, or I should be careful when cornering because I might smash a fender...
  17. Yup... technically you're 3.7mm closer to the strut... http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=255&aspect=35&diameter=19&wheelwidth=9&offset=50&width2=255&aspect2=35&wheel_size=19&wheel_width=9-5&offset2=40
  18. yup, they clear the spring perches but there is going to be alot more fender work to be done on the fronts than anticipated.. which is why im sort of uncomfortable with this setup. I test fitted them last night and am not sure... yet.
  19. Thanks man..... /sarcasm..... Ok i'll feed you baby birds.... at the bottom of my post is THE LINK FOR MY BUILD... with every little bit of info .... but because I don't want to be a "dipshit" as the God of the forums clearly called me... good job belittling people tough guy. 255/35/19 on a 19x9.5 +40... I have coils but haven't installed them yet.
  20. Finally mounted my tires on my wheels, Niche Citrine 19x9.5 on 255/35/19s... yeah spring is on it's way....
  21. Anyone know what 2.5na manifold would fit and what would be involved... I saw "frenchy" did it on his and man... the plastic intake has bothered me since day 1...
  22. va falloir qu'on ce rencontre cette ete... i gotta see this beast.
