Talk to me about water/meth injection... Anyone running it?.. I'm looking into vs e85, which is not readily available, also it's winter (0 below) for about 6 months.

it just shows the removal of the bushing with the special tool from subaru ... it doesn't actually show where that stud attaches to. in the pdf the diff is already removed and in the diff removal pdf it just shows the removal of the nuts. 9. Rear Differential Mount Bushing.pdf

I installed or rather attempted to install my kdt903 rear diff bushings, one side the nut broke loose easily enough, and I was able to insert the bushing and tighten down with the washer, However when I attempted to unscrew the second one, the nut seems to be seized on the stud, so as I turn, the entire stud with nut comes out. my question is.... Can I safely remove the stud, break the nut and reinstall or is the stud actually supposed to be locking into something? Is that stud like an engine stud that just screws into a cavity? Can I remove the stud without something happening.. eg won't be able to get the stud back in for whatever reason.

what system are you running with those gauges? nice setup

yup for sure the caliper and rotor... sorry should have said that in my op... I need to install extended studs and was wondering if anybody has done this?

anyone know if our wheel studs can be changed without removing anything... for example I know some cars have a void where you can back out the stud and install a new one.

I bought a second hand set, but I'm pretty sure they are dba's..

been using them for about 100kms... so far a couple of squeeks due to temps rain/ice otherwise no a noise so far.

POWERSTOP... got back to me.... this was their message... and I quote On the 961 kit we do not include new pins. so happy am I..lol looks like I'll be looking for pins this afternoon... in the words of the former champ (GSP) I'm not impress.

I think its the brembo/hawk hps combo that induce squeal. I got the Powerstops in today... the fronts came with the pins and lock collars the rears didn't? i sent powerstop a message and called them to ask if they should have came with the set (logically it seems like they should have) .. it seems to have put them in a tizzy... still no response. but the pads and shims look good... waiting for Wed to install.

are you on oem or brembos/bbk?

Mine squeal at low speeds, so traffic and stop signs, which is 90% of my daily commute, also I seem to have the opposite effect with heat.. as soon as mine heat up they'll squeal at high speeds as well, and become horribly loud at low speed. I know squeal comes from vibration, so I literally greased everything ... shims, entire rear of pad, all sides of pads.. basically the entire thing minus the actual rotor contact part and slider pins even the darn cotter pins everything is greased..lol Using permatex silicone ceramic brake grease and they still squeal. i also did bed them in .... and re did it after adding the permatex because I originally greased with standard brake grease. I spoke to 2 friends and they had the same problem with hawk hps, but were using them on oem applications 2008 sti and 2015 sti?? i have 2011 sti brembos??? one switched to subaru pads and the other to powerstop and both no longer have any issuses?? I did speak to a couple of guys running the hawk hps on regular/standard brakes with no issues.

Powerstop Z26-1001 // 961 for my brembos (2011sti) the hawk hps pads squeal, and i'm fed up with them, i'm told the z26s are great for no squeal.

I think I'll be able to resolve my problems with a 10mm spacer.. i'll know for sure tonight, i have to make a caliper template for measurements....

Hey guys... need some help.. presently i'm running oem wheels 18x7.5 +55 with a 17MM spacer... I just got my konig oversteer 19x8.5 +45 .. and they don't clear my brembos... they would work with the spacers but the nubs of oem bolts that stick out on 17mm spacers prevent me from putting the wheel on. is there a way to determine, the size spacer/shim I would need?

installed.my brembos and ss lines... getting some squeal at low speeds from the fronts, i'll regrease them again see if it helps. been about 200kms on the bc br coil overs so far so good ... need to continue to tweak them. I had megan coilovers on my first gt, when i got them they were set ... preload, camber plates... the bc coils were not. So i'm still making adjustments cause I'm getting some clanking over certain bumps. Wheels will only show up late April.. not happy about it but what can you do..

Reading through some builds and journals, I come across a couple of people using a braided ss clutch line. to my knowledge goodridge doesn't make one for our car specifically.. is there one that fits?

it's hit or miss, i've used cheap ones that haven't triggered the x-mas tree, and i've used better quality (phillips) and they have triggered the alarm. It's really a crap shoot.
