  1. GS - just a thought here, but what are the chances you guys might offer a package in the GB to include one of your heat shields for the turbo? With that large piece of beautiful engineering hanging over the turbo I find myself justifying the need for one compared to my stock TMIC. Also in wife economics, I'd be purchasing one packaged group of items instead of justifying multiple purchases. :-)
  2. I had this happen with my turbo xs downpipe before the GS came out. It seems to only be a problem in the 05 and 06 because apparently the plug is shorter. It took a while before anyone I contacted even had an answer for it.
  3. Not a project engineer, but I totally agree. I'd rather have to wait longer and get a better product because they actually took the time to find out what people wanted anyway.
  4. I think the angle of the photo throws you off here... It looks like there's a couple of inches based on the turbo to ic connection between them. Probably has a mount that replaces the engine hoist hook like the PW unit.
  5. I'd like to think they'll have a jig to tack them it comes down to it. I'm guessing they are just as excited [impatient] as ask of us and wanted to weld up the first one they could so they could go play on the weekend.
  6. ^This... Which is why we should be glad that they are actually putting forth the cost to develop a splitter for us.
  7. Without any hard driving I had my 2005 N/A throw a CEL on the highway a couple of months ago (a little over a month after buying the car and just outside the 100k warranty) and got the code read- it was a #4 misfire. Changed out the plugs and wires, changed oil and put in lucas- still no change. After the usuals I went out on a limb and checked the cylinder pressure and found I had 0 psi in the cylinder. I figured at this point it was beyond what I had time to fix so I had a friend trailer it to the dealer. It was a dropped valve guide that then bent the valve. Dealer covered 1/2 since I just bought the car, but it still cost an arm and a leg.
