Only considering?

Friend of a friend has their 20g with both wheel upgrades with a td05 7cm housing and the powerband is beautiful. Made 380/390 on a mustang dyno. Hits 350tq at 3300 and doesn't drop below till around 5500.
td05 7cm 20g on a heartbreaker making 380? I realize they are only numbers but I've been around a while and have yet to see this. Some mod details are missing.
Great turbos though... if only they were BB.

Why do you need me to keep proving you are overloading the FPCM? They are failing on you!
I'm electrically inept. That said this seems too simple in concept and I'm having difficulties understanding where Mwiener is coming from unless he lost something in the thread because he didn't read it all the way through ( I did).
Overly simplified, all that is being shown is that the LGT's lacks what the STI has. We mod to specs similar to the STI using like parts. Now the only variable left seems to be the FPCM. Once upgraded our hardware mirrors the STI.
They are using oem parts. What's the issue? Is it because they are upgrading wiring beyond the OEM spec of the STI which potentially could provide the FPCM with more current? If so then limit the gauge of wire and call it a day.
Scooby2.5, I apreciate your efforts! There is only a learning opportunity when something interesting is discovered. I'd think that if you aren't having fueling issues then it's a moot point but if you are and can lower IDC's because of this then fantastic.

100% idc to high 80's because of the voltage is significant enough to investigate. It isn't a problem being fixed so much as an improvement. Left alone we'd all just deal with it as is.

I have had no luck finding an STI FPCM for a decent price. Anyone ??

Thought I'd post up for ideas before I take a look at the car this weekend.
Konis/oem struts/Spec-B top hats = clanking in the front end driving me nuts.
I take it I'm missing a washer? Conical is in there but I read somewhere above (and M Sprank) that I'll need another.
Where exactly?

Driving the wifes Land Rover LR3 today I was reminded of the very faint LED light in the roof (near the map lights) that just barely lights up the center console. It's so faint it mimics moonlight and it's BAD@$$.
I don't know anything LED. Who can help with this?

Have you considered painting the piece in the middle in the lower opening in the bumper?
BTW, that is still the sickest tire/wheel combo I have yet seen.

Idrvslo, might you have a clever solution for the dead space in the lens of an 08-09 after the orange lens has been removed? I'm not liking the look and wondering if you have thought of a creative way to clean it up.
Thx,

Beyond the halos what else was done, do you have more pics, and how would you compare the output?

Thank you very much Dale! I am about 20 minutes from there sans traffic. I will be sure to post up an entire thread about Firestone, what they did, how I handled it and what the end results are. I cant post a thread/be objective about it yet - still too angry/disappointed.
They may "just" be drag wheels but they were my drag wheels and they were FLAWLESS.
Just Tire scratched up my then new Rota Subzeros and I made them buy me a new wheel.
Good luck...sorry for the bad news.

Have any more pics lying around of the screen mods to the hood and fogs?
Looks good...

^^ nice choice.
I'm already thinking of my next one and cannot decide. It has to be bigger than a 20g though.

Lookin Good!!

Remove the bumper, it's actually quite easy. We can help when you're ready.
Plus, you'll never get the lower grill in there from the front.
I just sold my custom lower grill inserts and installed them again for their new owner. Bumper has to come off or you are making the job much more difficult than it has to be.
I am trying to do the mesh mod on the bottom of the bumper, but can't figure out how to get the grill off to reach down there... Anyone know how to get the grill off so I don't have to take the bumper off? -
There is something about this car that looks familiar...
Just installed my winter wheels so here is a quick cell phone pichttp://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y98/Prowler504/CIMG0023.jpg

Who here can help with a boost leak?
I have no clue how to troubleshoot beyond the obvious. One more thing I haven't done yet.
Shamar had difficulties tuning it and getting the boost we wanted even after the AVO actuator. Something about an inconsistancy...
Sean Church had a similar issue (wants me to come back so he can assist in looking for the leak at no charge).
At present the ECU pulls timing if tuned over 19 PSI (that was a 94* day, seeing 20.5 now at 65*) and I have a whistle under load after 5k rpm. On the surface it sounds like a leak but???
Thx,
-Drew

^^ amen to that!
Sometimes it's not easy to figure out if the one going for that look truly realizes the pros/cons and we're here to help with that to.
