  1. I noticed I must not have sealed my headlights properly as after a car wash some water had gotten into my driver's side headlight. It had been in there for the past couple of weeks.

I was originally just going to take it out and reseal it properly, but I decided I couldn't go through all that work and leave it at that...

I've always thought the facelift JDM headlights looked nice in chrome with the slight blue tint they come in on white cars so I was pretty hesitant to change that, but after looking at a few pics I decided to risk changing it up. I blackout out the whole housing except for the DRL strip which I left chrome to emphasize my DRLs. I thought about (and ordered) some halos to throw in there but at the end of the day I decided against it. I blacked out the grill at the same time.

    And the result...

    It looks amazing!

  2. It's been a while since I've updated on here. I've been focusing on my Youtube and decided to start up and instagram account since apparently that's where everything is these days. Since the last update I've been busy making the interior more comfortable. I installed my Polk DB6502/652 set along with a Polk PA D5000.5 amplifier and Polk MM1240 sub. It's taken a hell of a lot of fiddling but I finally got the sound to somewhere I'm pretty happy with. I'm not sure it will ever be as good as my 2018 Rogue's Bose system but they're different classes of cars.

Along with the speaker install I also installed loads of sound deadening over the proceeding weeks. I installed 1 layer of deadener, 1 layer of closed cell foam, and 1 layer of mass loaded vinyl in the doors and hatch area. I've got to say, based on the stuff I've read on the forums, I expected the results to be a lot more apparent but it's all done and I can't take it back now. I'm not sure it was really worth the effort though.

Also wired up my backup cam while I was in there and ran the wire to my headunit. Looks and functions great although the image is flipped for some reason.

  3. Honestly I have no idea. I've seen some installed on USDM cars but never had any interest in it for my car. If you want it to work the way it works on European/Japanese cars (independent switch to turn it on) you'll have lots of wiring to do. If you just want it to turn on when you switch on your headlights it would probably be pretty easy to wire.

Not really my thing but if you're into the super JDM stuff this is for you

  4. I'll be posting pics soon on my SWP LGTW but I gotta know something. Anyone deal with bumper damage? Someone hit my front bumper while I was parked and scrapped the paint the paint off. What are the chances I can get that patched without having to paint the entire bumper?

Sounds like a JDM Spec B front bumper swap about to happen

  5. I would rather he make these R-Rev side strakes. I wanted a set but they went out of production long ago. Tried to get him to make some buy he said he's too busy lol. These R-Rev ones are so much nicer than the OEM JDM ones..

  6. Factory JDM mudflaps factory paint matched. The colour is either 37J SWP or 36J Arctic Pearl. I believe it's 37J as it looked perfect on my USDM car. Only selling because I couldn't decide on mudflaps or spats and ended up going full spats. I only have the rears. They're in excellent condition except the previous owner appears to have tried touching up the paint on one of them. You don't really notice it on the car. Bolts up perfect with just push pins, hardware not required. These will definitely work for wagons but I believe they also bolt fine to sedans.

These are pretty hard to find in serviceable condition and I might eventually switch back if I pick up the fronts so looking for $60 shipped or I'll just keep them.

  7. finally got the post interior done with the 6mt swap. had to change the boot to the 6mt one and added the s402 shift knob. the usdm bp5/bl5 never got the post interior was because subaru didn't want to waste money or time on the US market. the bp5 never came as a specb either because the US doesn't buy performance wagons period, only big outback AT wagons. the 5mt was a piece of crap. went through 2 of them, just junk. the 6mt is so smooth and solid in shifting. the 6 gear is awesome on long touring drives.

Any advice on getting the parts for the interior swap?
