  1. 1 person has broke their end links (comparison picture below)

Wow, I broke the bolts off the stock end links with the 19mm and switched to kartboys. The kartboys are noisy so I got the rallitek versions in the mail yesterday. Comparing them to stock the dimensions are the same but thicker.

My issue with the kartboys was the uneven spacers which needed a bit of suspension grease to keep them quiet.

The ralliteks have hyme joints like the stock ones and I've had end links with that before on two other cars and didn't have any noise issues. They also didn't need greasing. The Kart boys are really, really stiff with no movement in the bolts with a bolt going through a solid bushing. Here is a good comparison below.

Im not lowered yet but my springs are on order, hopefully I'll have them by this weds:rolleyes:.

I'm really not sure how the bolt broke on the stock but it did and boy was I surprised. I tossed it out cause I was so peeved at the time or I'd have something to show.

Looking at how many people are upgrading RSB with stock end links and don't have any problems, I wouldn't worry about them.

As for a dealer noticing a RSB, I wouldn't worry about that either. Frankly, I don't think they are looking for that kind of stuff. Sure, if you have a problem with the rear suspension inside the factory 3/36 warranty, they may say it contributed and you may have a warranty issue. Or they may say there is nothing wrong, or that the suspension problem is wear and tear and not subject to a warranty claim.

If your cruise control breaks having a RSB has nothing to do with that and its unlikely they would even notice. Hell, the last two times I took my car to the dealer--steering wheel radio controls--I didn't even uninstall the AP.

  2. Grimmspeed tried to test fit an MCB and we're missing some of the mount locations they expected to have available. No idea if they're going to try and finagle something anyway, perhaps using the top hat bolts.

I emailed GrimmSpeed....they do plan on making this adapter for the 5th gen, but they aren't there yet. It might not be a bad idea to express your interest in the group buy section.

  3. Front and rear adjustable sways are on (currently set to the softest setting). It was still damp on the roads but on the way to work this morning I stopped 3 times to let slow cars go so I could power through the twists. I still almost rear ended people coming out of the corners.

Turns where I used to get tire squeal are now silent and planted. Still really breaking things in and getting used to the feel but I appear to be the only car on the road that speeds up for turns.

Car is now void of any under steer and gives just a touch of over steer when you get on it out of the corner.

At this point it's another mod I'm happy to say is worth every penny.

Cool. Were you around for the front sway bar install? I keep hearing you need to raise the engine/drop the front sub-frame to get them in, curious to know whats required.

If it is raising the engine, is that just unbolting the engine mount bolts (and how do you do that on a Subaru) and jacking it up?

I'm afraid if I went with a upgraded front, my 19mm rear would be too small. At least I could probably sell it in the classified section.

  4. Got the transmission mount, cross member bushings and differential bushings installed today. Even though I haven't driven real far with them I'm already thrilled with the results. I really feel like the shifting and rear end in general has firmed up.

The rear end "clunk" feeling is gone and everything feels much more solid at the time of clutch disengagement. I'm sure I'll have more thoughts on it after some more driving.

Glad to hear you liked them!!

I've had these for quite awhile and love them. Relatively easy and cheap mod that gives a noticeable improvement in shifting and driveline lash. The only downside is a very slight tingle to the pedals, but nothing that I consider excessive.

I wish I had someone that could do all this for me :) I have no knowledge on any of this (besides what I read here) but I would love to have all this done to my LGT. ebo also does all this. Wish I could just go to one of your houses and have you guys do this stuff for me :)

Rogue--if you can change oil, you can do this mod. Acumenhokie posted the DIY's, just take your time, and you'll know it is done right. The money you save can go for tools and mods :)
