^^did you plasti-dip the chrome on the front Subaru emblem? Got a close up shot?
-
So do these fit without modification or not? Some posts say yes, some say the mounts are in slightly different places. Any help would be much appreciated...
I would think they should fit. I have Megan axle backs for an 08+ WRX Sedan and they fit.

Nice runs!!

Welcome!

RIP GT

So does that mean you guys who plasti-dip their stuff do not scratch and prime?
Just purchased plasti-dip from home depot this morning
Yup, just spray it on.
-
can you explain how you used the plasti-dip to do yours?
(i was actually confused on that part and planned on just spray painting it same as i did the grill..)
You do just spray it on like the grill.
Either tape around all the trim or remove it and paint it. I took mine off to paint as I think you get better coverage. Both ways take about the same amount of time.

You can hit 60 in 2nd gear. With your 60' time I think you would already be in the high 4s if you redlined 2nd.
I hit 4.879 with a 2.209 60' time. Launched around 3500, no FFS or LC.

I agree. I did this mod to my 08 Legacy 10 mins after I brought it home from the dealership....
5th gens can not be that complex
PS: On a side note, I see that you have a Firehawk. Even though, I never got a chance to own one I have owned a total of 5 4th Gen F-Bodies
Yeah, my old Mazda 6s took about 5 minutes. With the dash mounted fog light switch I would think its as simple as getting a always hot wire in place of the switched wire. Obviously I have no idea though.
Thanks, couple other f body owners on here. Not exactly refined, but fun as hell to take the t-tops out and bang gears

I don't want a get into a public discussion on this....
The reason I did it is bec I simply wanted to run my parking lights with fogs.
I can't believe someone hast done a proper DIY on this yet. 2 different methods for the 4th gen cars.
I would like the same capability as well.

According to our fastest legacy times thread I now own the fastest one she ran a 11.6 @124 this weekend at zmax
Nice run, glad to hear she is finally running. 124 is moving!!
-
Any Pics or updates from the Legacy 5th generation testers?
No
Hopefully I can get to this next weekend. Moving + out of town company + 7 month old has killed my car time

As you already said, motion lab and draco, but I read a few not so good reviews...boxer4 racing in asheville seems to get good reviews, but its a bit of a hike.

Lolwut??
Someone posted a 4th gen then went back and deleted their post.

Man oh man...how hard was it to remove all of that trim? Did you find any write-up or manual reference for removing it, or was it pretty self-explanatory?
Pretty self explanatory, but I did a write up in this thread:
-
Brilliant! I opened it in racer and then did a "save as". Just finished the upload.
I did the same thing
-
Nice write-up. I'm itching for more mods, and you guys aren't helping!
Sound - OMG LOL!!!!!! If that sounded like something a little girl would say then you are correct because I'm giddy as a school girl. It is deep and throaty with very little drone. The sound should change a bit over the next few days but already it's a 1000% improvement over the stock silence
Did you download the tune to AccessPort Racer first?

Thanks! I put a lot of work into it. I would love to get the chrome out of the side trim pieces, but I haven't had the time yet. I also haven't decided if I want to use plasti-dip, or have it covered in dark vinyl.
I couldn't find anyone that wanted to wrap the side trim so I took it all off and plasti dipped it. Came out great with full coverage front/back.

That's a little too over the top for me.

Lower grill looks good.
I've been on the fence for awhile because I wasn't sure how the pattern would match up to the upper/fog light honeycomb. While not perfect, it is far better than the gaping whole the factory gave us.

Pics? I've been thinking about doing this and plasti-dipping the 2.5GT badge as well.
