Now I'm old school so to me "slammed" would indicate frame being notched, and bodywork involved. Once again though I come from a Vw background lol...
well if that's the case... then ya. i dont think i've heard any 5th gens having their frames notched
-
And no they're not all 168's the DTR and signal lights, brake lights etc are different.
i was referring to the license plate, parking and courtesy door lights.
-
quit fishing for content for legacy stance
lolol jk. the thing is, really only a handful of 5th gen owners are relatively 'slammed'. i can probably think of like 5-6 cars lol.
-
They're all 168 bulb?
yup they're all 168 bulbs and are plug & play. and like testa said, they are polarity specific so if they dont light up, turn them 180*
i have a couple shipments of LED's from amazon. they're so cheap so i decided to try 2 different brands lol
-
Which LED did you replaced?
Sent from my Xperia Z
looks like the 168 parking light bulb. i have a pack of 168 LED's coming in and looking to do those, license plate lights and the door courtesy lights

You're good man Mark, did I ever tell ya that? EXCELLENT choice
haha thanks man
my only concern is what im going to do with my current wheels lol. not alot of prospects in the 19" 5x100 scene
-
What are you getting instead?
well i'm on the pre-sale list for WCI's new cast wheel (19x10).
i'd hate to double up on wheels and have the rotiform collect dust
-
would anyone be interested in my set of rotiform blq's by any chance?

hmm... i would consider these... only if it were local
-
Just picked these up. Wow. How gross. But I only paid $80 for all of them. anyways I'm gonna strip them down and re-powder coat them a more reasonable color. Was thinking either just black or gunmetal or maybe bronze. Any input on what color would look best on graphite gray?

Thanks guys. Glad you guys like it.
There's a small die hard group lowering the present gen OB's on here and on subaruoutback.org. I'm definitely happier with the ride now, with a lower stance and tighter steering.
where from socal? gotta make it out to a meet one day, i must see this in person
-
I can finally play too (even though I have an Outback - I had to mainly use Legacy parts to lower her ) Took some photos this morning.
Newly lowered with new wheels & tires.
19x9" +35 Work VSXX's with a gun metal grey powdercoated face.
holy shit i want an outback now

Probably not the right place to ask but, does your car have an aftermarket exhaust? If so please let me know it would be appreciated.
yup! it's a custom fab'd magnaflow axle-back. sounds great.

Seems like the tires are 225/40/18 for some reason. Should be at least 45 sidewall... Maybe it's the sun shinning into those wheel wells? It makes me want to go with a darker wheel color since they make the wheels look taller to me.
225/40's are fine. it's dat wheel gap
-
Thanks that was my concern as well, thus the reason to see if anyone had any pictures. Figured I would ask as I found a nice deal and I do like the look of these wheels...guess I will keep looking.
you can always run spacers if the spec B wheels are that good of a deal
-
thanks grimmspeed

I was thinking that.. but i checked my fronts and rears. The front is already rolled? and the rears wern't.. i guess you could roll the front more where the guard liner meets the fender.
the fronts aren't as flat as the rears but the fender lips needs to be rolled more toward the fender especially at brent's height and wheel fitment
-
Looking awesome Brent! Im sure you'll need to roll the fenders. Plenty of how-to videos on Youtube. You could always get a professional to do them for you. If i am correct, you'll only need to roll the rears.
edit: Lol didnt see the posts above me. Heat gun and the roller that attaches to the hub is probably the best method. You could always ask around the local shops in your area.. you never know if they agree to doing it until you ask. (Unless if you've already asked lol)
please roll all 4 corners. thank me later
-
Damn, never rolled fenders before and do not want to. I can always raise my car up some but I guess to get the right look they will need to be rolled.
i don't see what the whole stigma is on rolling fenders. its just rolling the fender lip towards the fender to prevent rubbing
just get a reputable shop or person to do it right.
-
19x9.5 +38?
yes. you will need a roll for sure. especially at how low you are.
