  1. So covertrussian, you did not have to loosen the engine mounts to pull the oem up pipe from the engine bay?
  2. thanks for the feedback. In any case, got the car started (finally) and drove around a bit. Looks like no damage so far to sensors and stuff... For future reference, injector oring (o-ring, o ring) part number: 16698AA110
  3. Really? wow that's cheap. I'll check them out then. Also, any ideas about this misalignment shown on the picture? is this normal/ok? http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=204459&d=1426094851
  4. Bump to hear your opinions.. Also, where do you think is the best place to get inexpensive o-rings for the stock injectors?
  5. Time for an update. Finally got some time today to troubleshoot.. -checked injector wirings: it's getting correct voltage (12V--with ignition on). so no issue there -pulled injector out. Applied short burst of 12V to it. No clicking. I had an old spare injector. Did same test and it clicked. Saw on Youtube that if you gently hit the back of the injector a few times, it may get unstuck. I did that, re-applied 12V and it clicked . However, as you can see below on the pics (hard to see though on a picture but obvious in person), I think the smallest oring may be the culprit of this issue. Looks like when I put that injector in cylinder 2, the small oring did not sit properly and got slightly pinched on one side, and flooded the cylinder and somehow stuck the injector too. Now have a look at the picture of the 'hole' where the injector sits in. Can you see how it is not really flush or aligned (see red circle)? Is this normal? As a side note, spark plug is now fouled (completely wet).
  6. Stop posting pictures Just kidding..
  7. When I swapped the spark plugs, I had a good look at them. Both looked the same. Coil pack should be sitting just fine as prior to swapping injectors, it ran ok. I will triple check though. I am suspecting either a bad connection or stuck injector. I will check the connector for a 12v signal and will probably test the injector myself by supplying a very short burst of a 12 volt signal to it. I understand that if it is working properly, it should click. If stuck i should not hear any clicking.
  8. No. Misfire stayed in cylinder 2. Swapping the spark plug and coil did not move the misfire. So I swapped injectors afterwards. Misfire still stayed in two but was way bad, with white smoke and very strong fuel odor. No misfire in #4. So it is like the good injector from 4 that is now in 2 is stuck open for some reason . I would also note that this injector that came from cylinder 4 and is currently in 2, has only 15000 miles on it and looks very clean. so strange..
  9. alright. I'll post here and hopefully someone will chime in. Feeling a bit depressed right now.. Story: have had misfire in 2 lately on the 05 today, swapped at the same time spark plug and coil pack between 2 and 4 misfire stayed in 2. then I swapped injectors 2 and 4. After that upon starting, I am getting tons white smoke, constant misfire in cylinder 2 and STRONG smell of gas everywhere... So I shut the car off right away (ran for 30 sec max). Thinking the injector I just installed in #2 is stuck open. Do you agree?
  10. Bump I have a feeling the answer to my question is you can't. Looks like I should downgrade to a previous Android version before installing that ROM..
  11. Alright, so I have successfully rooted my n7 2012. I am about ready to install cm-10.1-20130817-USBROM-grouper-1.zip but I am not sure if you can do that while lollipop is installed on the device. Does anyone know? Can't find the answer online
  12. I have never tried to modify a stock android device. Will probably tried today. But I have no idea if I can change to CM while having lollipop installed on my n7...
  13. Sorry for the late reply... So what do you use now? I'd still be interested to have it. How big is the file? Edit: actually I found a copy of it on the web..
  14. Bumping mine. Been a while I have not seen these pictures. Makes me nostalgic now .
  15. I remember a guy on the forum who had an old small laptop running xp, that he left in his trunk at all times. He then output the video signal from it to his nav unit, so he could constantly monitor ecu parameters, log via romraider, etc.. I don't know all the details, but I wanted to do exactly that, until that btssm thing came out. And that was the end of it! Although I still have my laptop ready to write to my ECU in case I need to upload a revised tune.
  16. It's especially practical though. Do you have your laptop in your car at all times? I think that is the main advantage of what he designed--the fact that you can almost always run this thing each time you're in your car, since you would always carry your phone or tablet with you. Anyway, just fyi .
  17. covertrussian, did you hear about the Btssm android app? A fellow member developed it. It does everything except write to the ECU as of now, although it can reset it. Refresh rate is as fast as romraider. I mention it to you since you like numbers As for me, I use it ALL THE TIME. It's always on in my car. I can pull LVs, log whenever I want, keep an eye on my fuel trims, FKC, FLKC, etc... It has helped me notice and fix developing vacuum or boost leaks several times. And it also has a knock warning feature based on FKC and FLKC values. Can't live without it! Have a look if you haven't already http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/btssm-bluetooth-adapter-app-229709.html
  18. For those who use the rom from timur, do you have a link to download the rom designed for the 2012 N7? His website no longer has it available for download . It only offers the rom for the 2013 n7 and I am not sure if this rom could be installed on the older n7..
  19. I did cylinder 4 once. As you said, it is just a matter of pushing anything that is in the way. But I recall that I did not take anything apart. As for how long it'd take for the engine to die, I'd say about 10 sec or something? It does not take long really. Just crack open the garage when the car is on.
  20. I like how you say 'mediocre 26.37 mpg'. come on man. That still pretty good given it is an awd machine with a fairly good amount of power That being said, I don't fully understand all these various variables yet. But as I mentioned before, my tune has timing set around 49 deg when I cruise. Have you tried going that high and see how it affects your mpg? I am stage 2.5 btw (avo intercooler, invidia catless up, invidia catted downpipe , 3 inch midpipe--no resonator--, stromung quadtip catback, grimspeed ebcs, cobb sf intake, perrin lcp)
  21. Have you tried doing hard acceleration to see if the tablet falls?
