What are the flares from? Or completely home-made? What else did you have to do to get them to fit?
front fenders are completely cut. rears were rolled, relief cut, pulled.
tarmac coils...
sourced the fenders through here on a group buy ages ago.

only way to do it, is as Climber D outline a while back. External cooler from Tru cool, plumbed with a Derale thermostat to keep temperatures perfect.
Over cooling the 5eat makes it run like shit, and over heating well she wont last long.
I run a Tru-Cool 4451 with Derale and my trans is happy, up to temp quick and doesn't over heat.

bump, thought id update, been driving for 2 weeks now, cant believe how much nicer the legacy experience has become. Even with all upgraded bushings this lockdown makes a huge impact on steering feel.
Car feels more precise through twisties, a much more point and click feel. also the feel being heavier helps a bit on nice straight pulls. Car just feels happier

I did mine ages ago. however I found that key to a 1 time job leak free is making sure the mating areas are really clean, and the o ring being pre moistened with fluid, (like an oil filter gasket)
-
yes I found that my normal driving turning timing had to be adjusted for the newly found precision in steering input. heavier indeed but not laggy. mine seated up nice first synching it together with the long bolt,
if doing it again I might dab antiseize on the surface of the pieces to help them slide together when synching

ordered. Curious if i will have the same feedback as quick4dr.
The outback has a slower rack, but i have all the bushings.
installed yet?

I think you will be very very happy.do the perrin demo video for yourself before you install it. have a friend turn the wheel while your on jack stands, or a lift. the perrin video didn't even do justice to how much flex mine had at 122k miles

with the supplied anti seize and proper torque I don't think she's going anywhere. Worst off since even the short bolt threads through just enough, you could drill the end and use a cotter pin and Loctite on the threads.
from speaking with Perrin they had no concerns of it backing out and coming apart.
-
didn't even remove cover, just had to reach past my avo subframe connector.
Got one side in under the lip of the dampener, then put the long bolt through, then lined up the other half and threaded the bolt in, threaded it until the two halves sandwich together,
then take out the long bolt, drop the supplied anti seize on the short bolt and thread that through till it bottoms out and then torque to 10lbs.
I didn't use the supplied allen key, I used same size on an extension with a ratchet

I'll just add this to the list... I'm on a drivetrain/suspension slop eliminating kick after how much better the Rallitek trans mount made the entire car feel.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you love what the trans mount did for driveline feel wait to you feel your steering. That slop in the first 1/2in of wheel movement is eliminated. I did the Perrin demo video for myself. Pre insert it flexs real bad specially given Mileage
After nothing moves! That joint just rotates as it should

******* awesome!
Installed in about 5 minutes. Took less time to install than the damn fog lamp bulb that I changed too lol.
Feels amazingly better. For anyone with steering slop that had already done rack bushings this will be a perfect match. Or just this for someone looking to tighten things up.
Can't say it enough how much tighter the steering feels. Very BMW like you can feel the road
-
got it in the mail last night, should have time to install tonight or tomorrow night.
-
Great price. Valley legacy got me mine about 2 years ago. They look the best, and I get about the same amount of window down rain free
-
was under car last night, install should be quick, plenty of access to get in there and maneuver.
-
all good pal, ah that's the angle you meant for comparing the numbers, i wasn't thinking that direction. its cheap enough, i might pick it up before next oil change and give it a wurl, worst off it doesn't fit and i sell it on nasioc.
-
already have the whiteline bushings, who did you pick up your cusco brace from, havnt seen one in a while.
-
Why, because, racecar... damn newbies..do I need to link you to that thread recently about all the new members asking questions...
Sorry, couldn't resist.
I'm sure it will help if it will fit. If you have money to spend it would be worth it. If you don't have money to spend, you don't need it.
Underdog may have some thought's on whether it will fit or not.
Have you looked up the OEM parts numbers on the opposedforces website...I didn't think so.
LOL
This isnt a noob question, this is undetermined fit question on a new to market part. what would the oem part number do me opposedforces?
my budget can handle anything i so choose. My posting into noobs beiny annoying and asking million times answered questions. This is a new field, i was aiming for the steering and suspension gurus to chime in or perhaps the few that converted racks to sti style

my climber D valvebody with 50k plus on it, just handled a dyno of 350whp 338wtq from a 1.5xtr. Mikey said the trans took it beautifully!!
-
i had drive haft shop make me a custom 1 piece aluminium shaft june 14, it has been perfect zero fitment issues.
-
Samesies. About to hit med school next year and i finally got myself to realize that ill probably be driving this thing for a very long time and more mods will begin to decrease reliability.
Well then lets get that paint cleaned up and sealed up. long term protection!
