If this ^^ works out, I might have to sell my Q300 and go the nameless route. My stage 2 dreams are still alive.

Crappy cell phone pic but I'll join the party. Early day at the office.

So, I would either have to get rid of my Invidia CBE or swap that portion out ever November to March. The funny thing is that I toyed with the idea of getting the dp instead of the cbe. Hindsight I tell ya.
-
I want to go stage 2 but don't to be constantly chasing a solution.
Hopefully, I'll at least get a new bpv, charge pipe and a custom tune this summer.
-
Thanks mcg_.
What about people with a full TBE, nameless or not, in colder climates?
So, full stage 2 is no longer truly a simple bolt on options since wastegate porting or moving to an ewg would be necessary?!?!?
-
So, are there actually people in colder climates that have gone stage 2 and don't have this overboosting problem when the temp drops? Sorry, if I missed this earlier in the thread.

Sounds like you have your priorities backwards. The GT always comes first.... Lol

IIRC, 265s will rub on the struts unless you are on coilovers
Coilovers here. BC Racing with Swift springs.
-
Yes it is, almost exactly.
That is what I plan on running when these Michelin PS AS3 get to the end of their life. If I was more courageous, I would go 265/35-18
-
Why not 255/40? Isn't that closer to stock?
-
I have McGards and they are holding up pretty well. I would buy again.
Something like [ame=http://www.amazon.com/McGard-65557RC-Chrome-SplineDrive-Installation/dp/B001P2F656]this[/ame]

Like they say, no one wants things when they are free. Put a a for sale sign on it and someone will steal it.

Nice. Congrats

Welcome aboard. We need to get more 5th gens locally.

I dont want to scare you off from Stage2, my point is that I dont think we know enough yet about the current problems that guys are having right now with the Nameless DP to narrow it to this DP causing the issue, because others have had it with other downpipes. There are many more that have had no issue at all with any of the catted downpipe, including the Nameless unit. The overboost problems could be tune related or hardware related (turbine housing casting irregularities, wastegate actuator issues, etc), we just dont know for sure yet.
I still want to do it eventually, probably wait until I get a new clutch. What is the cost of porting the turbo and has this successfully resolved the issue in those cases?
-
Oh yes, but usually with the Invidia Catless. This is why Deadrick went to ETS for the custom EWG header. The list is long but can't think of any names ATM because most of these guys are not too active on the forum. Also several others including blklgt05 had the overboost issue with the Invidia Catted, that's what lead to several guys getting the turbos ported. Once again, can't recall names immediately.
I was thinking of pulling the trigger on a new or used DP but I might just wait a little before I go stg2 and just get a bpv and a stg1 e-tune.

Has anyone besides jojorios had similar boost creep issues with other aftermarket DPs and CBE?
-
does ALLPRO SUBARU install parts not purchased from them (stock and aftermarket) or do I have to source parts from them directly?
They'll install the parts you supply. I am sure it might come with a disclaimer though. You can call to confirm. They are quite accommodating.

Might as well get you a dual exhaust. (Irrelevant plug)

Thanks for the info. What size tires are you running? That is what would determine if you have to roll or pull fenders. I'm either going with a 225 or 235 width tire. Also I do not plan on tucking wheels, I only want to eliminate the fender gap. Most likely will have to roll fenders but I doubt I will have to pull.
I am running 245/40/18 Michelin Pilot AS/3. I plan on going 255/40 when these wear out.
-
I am on 18X9.5 et45 and have no rubbing or fender mods. I am sure with 10mm further out, I would have had to do rolls and/or pulls.
-
Just put some spacers back there and it should give you the look you are looking for.

If only I had there money for a STi..

I've heard good things about gran turismo east. They are just south of gwinnett though.
