You need someone to ah... fluff your pillow as well? Anything else we can all do to accomodate? 😉

Is that an offer.  I have never seen a "fluffer" before.  Only heard the stories.  This could be interesting.

So right now I believe there are 7 confirmed in this thread.

$2932(includes deposit) divided by 7 = $419  I think we will have more joining which would bring that amount down for us.

To just get the deposit together for Feb 1, 2024 it would be

    $142.50 x 7 = 997.50

I think we should work with those numbers to start.

Not to scare anyone with numbers I was going to attempt to break it down even further.  I plan to stay the entire week, I assume not everyone will.  I do not expect anyone to cover my "extra" days.  I won't get down to per person, per day - lake view or not - bath attached or not as I am not that big of an a-hole.  But, I do want to be as fair and equitable as possible.

If Johnny wants to pitch a tent in the yard and bathe in the lake I do not expect him to pay $419.  If John installs a zip line from his room to Johnny's tent or maybe a pulley system to haul up baskets of beer, then $419 is definitely the going rate.

  3. Built my first "robot".

Simulate wind with speed, speed with curving and drafting.  Can set manual minimum and max speeds or can have max speed auto adjust with car individual cars.

540 total cfm, which is enough to blow my hair off (if I had any).  100% is more like a roller coaster ride. I have been dialing down my setting to 60-70% speed for open cockpit F1 and 50% for Miatas and Lotus.  Tech is friggin amazing.

Have you gotten the contract yet? Let us know the $$$ when you know!

    Yes, contract in hand.

    Dates = June 6  4pm - June 13 2024 10am

Home = Serenity on the Bluff (https://www.newyorkrentalbyowner.com/finger-lakes-keuka-lake-keuka-park-house/listing.82)

Occupancy = 20 (children under the age of 2 years are not included in the occupancy number)

    Pets = With permission

Smoking = No smoking in the house, smoking permitted on the deck and outside - dispose of properly.

Phone - Home has no phone, bring your cell.  Home has wifi.

    Deposit due 2/1/2024 = $997.50

    Balance due 5/1/2024 = $1935.30

    Total with deposit = $2932.80

Total if deposit is refunded = $2482.80

    Breakdown on charges:

$1995.00 rental fee + $200 cleaning fee + $200 linen fee (linens for 20) + $87.80 tax (The Man gets his cut) + $450 refundable security deposit.  Don't fudge it up and we get the $450 back.

For $200 we can have linen service for 20.  I think adding the $200 for linens is a good idea.

Need to figure out everyones accommodations to determine a fair breakdown.  Or we can play like Fyre and I can take $2900 each from everyone and bail.

So for those interested in driving the glen, below is the info I got back about availability and cost for a group of 15 cars.

    June 10th 5pm

    June 11th noon or 5pm

    June 12th noon or 5pm

    June 13th noon or 5pm

For a group of your size it would be $25 per car if bought prior to coming to the track.

That sounds amazing, if I only had a car.  Wifes RDX, lol.

Oh, you young guy's... I've been saving things in my favorites/bookmarks for many decades. I still have a bunch of things saved about these cars.

I have a bunch of dead links that even the way back machine cant find.

More importantly did you check out the ECM 2024 thread?  NY this year.  Are you available/able to attend???

I so want to see the look on M’s face! Holy crap is she going to be happy!

Paid the deposit on "Ricky" this evening.  He reminds me of "Jodi" the staffy Teresa had as a kid.  The breeder shares the same first name as my mother, the pup shares the same (current) name as Teresas brother and nephew.  Karma?

M is going to cry, her mother probably will too.  Only time anyone gets to make my girls cry, tears of joy.

Anyone have a recommendation on an "electric fence".  I un-installed the one that was when we moved in.  I can trench a wired if its worth the effort.  Driveway is already cut.  We have a large irregular shaped lot (like a baseball field).

  8. Could be the bearing, could be the sensor, could be the half shaft, could be.... a 20+ year old car showing its age.   Wiring, contacts, degradation.

Not going to find a "retail" scanner that clears ABS codes.  Those are intended to auto-reset when the problem is fixed.  Even a commercial scanner that can clear them cant keep them from coming back moments after starting/driving the car if the error persists.  IIrc the regulations were written in the 90's.  Clearing them is not the easy troubleshooting solution you wish it to be.

Ask me why I prefer carburetor fuel system engines, cable driven throttles and mechanical brakes?  When a salesman asks if I want the tech package, I ask if they have a Full Retard package.  Like Ben Stiller in Tropic Thunder.

  9. Hit up Brian for meet slaps.  Can then use his file for tees.

I could have everything made early this year and ship out prior to the meet, or pick up at the meet again.  Hopefully Mary does not have any fund raisers and I can recover some of the cost this year, LOL.  Honestly, you all made it well worth it last year.  Over $2k raised!!!!  Looks like Mary convinced two neighborhood girls to join her at Girls on the Run this year.  The group grows.

Edit:  Brian got back to me, Subie Stickers is on board for year 2.  Just changing the year to 24, keeping it simple.
