  1. Well dude they’re out of loaners because VW/Audi makes such shitty cars that the dealers are unable to have enough loaners for poors driving VW’s with Audi badges. So here is your strategy. Show up at the dealership the minute they open. Dress like a Walmart customer/homeless person, bonus if you kind of smell bad. Next tell the service manager what you’re there for, tell them you’ll wait until the car is finished. Now it doesn’t matter if there are no parts, just tell them it’s OK you got dropped off and have nowhere to be and won’t have a ride out of there until at least 18:00. Be really friendly and polite, you don’t want to get kicked out. Then just wander around looking like a disheveled bum, talk to other customers. Bother them. Bother sales people. Bother sales people who have customers. Be a little “off”. Peek inside offices. Pick your nose. Talk to yourself. Be creepy and socially awkward as ****. Yet friendly to a fault. Within an hour or two the sales manager is going to tell the service writers to find you a loaner and get you out of there. Normally they’d kick a homeless weirdo out for loitering, but you have a legal reason to be there! They’ll put you in anything to make your weird creepy ass get away from them.
  2. Yeah wasn’t very impressed until the latest episode with Mando back in it decapitating motherfuckers for money with the Darksaber. I wanted something a bit dark and centered on a hard hearted merciless bounty hunter with questionable morals with the Boba Fett installment. Looks like I’m not getting it, but the last episode gave me some hope.
  3. I don’t wear masks, and don’t consider COVID-19 to be a tremendous threat to my life. I got vaccinated because I judged the risk of side effects to be very low, and data showed it to be effective at the time at preventing COVID-19, and in breakthrough cases to reduce the risk of needing hospitalization, or death to virtually nothing for someone in my age group. As for social distancing please tell me how to social distance from my 4 year old son? He tested positive the day after he was coughing spittle in my face because 4 year olds are little barbarian disease factories. In general I practice social distancing because I don’t like other people I don’t know, and that was before COVID-19. Stop being a pussy and go live your life. I finally got COVID-19 having made virtually zero effort to avoid it, and as expected it’s not some life altering disease. It’s a cold that has reduced my sense of smell. I am not going to bother getting tested like my wife did, because they made no effort to treat her. She asked about monoclonal antibodies and was told she wasn’t “sick enough”. OK, we’ll clearly COVID-19 isn’t dangerous enough to treat for her, so it’s not dangerous enough for me to get tested or quarantine. **** it, I’ve got shit to do anyway.
  4. No idea which variant. To be honest I don’t care. Slept just fine last night, just have some sinus congestion. No fever, no sore throat, no body aches, no trouble breathing. If this were merely a cold, it would be a mild one at this point. If vaccines and the upcoming pill essentially make this like a cold, that’s not a terrible result I guess.
  5. First time having as far as I know. Got two doses of the Moderna vaccine. So thus far the Moderna vaccine is 0% effective at preventing COVID-19 at my house. Fortunately being as I’m fully vaccinated I didn’t have to report close contacts, and unless I get really sick I have no plans to get tested, nor tell my shit heel employer who will hold me from service without pay.
  6. No need for turkey to get some COVID at my house LOL. Wife is fully vaccinated and got it. I’m fully vaccinated and as of today my cold like symptoms have come with a new and exciting feature: loss of sense of smell and limited taste! Hooray! At least it’s just cold like symptoms otherwise.
  7. Sure case rate is a useful metric to know, but only so you can quantify the actual important statistics on hospitalization and deaths. Obsession with the case rate alone is for stupid people who hold an unrealistic goal of zero cases. More accurately they hold a goal of using COVID-19 as an issue to continue exerting control over you.
  8. I’m not sure why everyone is still obsessed with case rates? Who cares? The metrics to measure are hospitalizations and deaths. We are not going to stop the spread of even vaccinated people like my wife still get breakthrough cases. So why are we measuring case rates as some end all be all number? I’m far more interested in survivability improvements and a reduction in the need for hospital stays personally since those are actually practical and achievable. We’ll all get it or a variant thereof, if it can be effectively treated for the vast majority of people with symptoms no worse than a common cold then stop worrying and live your lives.
  9. In other fun news my fully vaccinated wife, and my non vaccinated 4 year old son have both been positively diagnosed with COVID-19 as of this morning. Wife works administrative duties at a clinic in town so she’s ethically obligated to quarantine away from work since she deals directly with providers and patients, many of whom have compromised immune systems. Sucks because company policy is she has to use her PTO first and then unpaid leave for the rest. I am surprised she didn’t get COVID a lot earlier given her near daily exposure to COVID-19 positive patients. Aside from mild cold symptoms, and the inability to smell most odors she feels fine. So even though she got a breakthrough case the vaccine is helping keep it mild and basically uneventful. She’s been cleaning and doing laundry out of boredom all day. My 4 year old son, seems completely unaffected and in true 4 year old fashion is taking this wonderful opportunity to not have to be in pre-school to play at 1000% effort, pester the German Shepherd and Rottweiler as much as he can, and of course yell and refuse to utilize his inside voice at all times. If I had that kid’s energy I would be a multimillionaire by the end of next year, even if all I had to make money on was recycling aluminum cans. I’m also fully vaccinated and have no symptoms at all. After looking at BNSF official guidelines for COVID-19 and critical infrastructure employee guidelines, since I am fully vaccinated I’m not even required to report close contacts anymore. So I will be operating as per normal. Although I’m now hanging out in my office while home and sleeping in a spare bedroom, not that it will make much difference at this point since my son up until this morning has been in close contact with me and he and my wife are probably every bit of 4-5 days in showing symptoms and being contagious. Oh well, I knew we were all going to get it. Whatever, get over it and drive on!
  10. COVID spikes when the weather is shit. Hot as hell down south in the summer, people spend time inside: COVID cases spike. Now getting cold and shitty up north, people spending time inside: COVID cases go up.
  11. Correct. It’s still their responsibility to protect themselves and practice their own risk mitigation just as they would need to in response to any respiratory infectious diseases. These being the same people who can’t get flu shots etc and might very well die of influenza. Sorry but there’s no reason for me to significantly alter my day to day life to protect the lives of a very small segment of the population, and it never was prior to this idiocy. One positive outcome of this entire pandemic is allowing the cowards, and authoritarians among us to positively ID themselves for ridicule and scorn for the rest of their lives.
  12. I’m fully vaccinated, if someone else doesn’t want to be I don’t care. If I get a breakthrough case I’m not getting tested unless I am so sick I can’t work. Otherwise I’ll go on about my business as usual. If someone gets sick from me who’s unvaccinated and they get really sick or die, that’s their problem. They made their choice, I made mine; vaccines are widely available no excuse other than personal choice to not get one.

Probably be the wise choice. Cash only coat hangers and burner cell phones. Also cash only payment for services rendered.

Not to worry you can buy the tools of your trade at Walmart or Costco in bulk you baby murderer.

LOL, all he has in his luggage is coat hangers.
  16. On the upside this will vindicate capacity expansions by domestic ammo makers. I never had much use for Rusky steel case shit ammo anyway.
  17. Idiocracy is an excellent documentary.
  18. I’m vaccinated, if needs be I will get boosters. I am not going to mask up again to save those who choose not to be vaccinated. Sorry fuckers, but adult decisions have adult consequences and if you don’t want to get vaccinated that’s your call but I don’t care if you get COVID-19 at that point. You made your decision and I made mine, and I’m not modifying my behavior to justify your decision. If that means the un-vaccinated continue to die at a far higher (although still very low rate) then so be it. Dummies can weed themselves out of the gene pool.
  19. Nope scabby elbows and body odor.
  20. Strangely last night I ran a fever and had chills, today a bit sore.
  21. You just described my approach since 03/2020. I didn’t die. Hell as far as I know I didn’t get Chinese Lung Herpes either, and if I did it wasn’t bad enough to distinguish from a cold.
