Someone had posted for their 2010+ Legacy, I think it was one of the 3.6 guys, that bought a blue cone filter for their car. Does anyone remember who it was or remember the post? My dad bought a K&N intake for his GMC and I want to get rid of the K&N oiled filter since the GMC's also have a MAF

I havent done a launch since doing the delete, but i notice the benefits when doing a "faster than grandma" start to get in front of traffic. So much more predictable -

I like the scoop size -
I usually do check the torque when i reinstall. Im not sure why i didnt. My guess is because it was snowing i didnt think about it. I am goin to run it to work and back tomorrow and recheck one more time. Then i'll do checks once a week to make sure

Ok im an idiot... I just realized i never retorqued my lugs after takin it on a short drive. Check the fronts, sure enough, both sides were a little loose. Tightened them up, took it for a drive, smooth as silk. So another question for yall. Currently im using the stock lugs for my steelies. They appear to be conical like the stock lugs. Should i be using a different set of lugs?

I guess i didnt realize there was an inside/outside to the potenzas. Good to know for when they go back on in the spring

Oh i did some more testing this afternoon as i couldnt get into firestone bc it was packed. I pumped the tires up to 36# and went out on the highway. The sweet spot for vibrations is exactly at 60mph. That's where it's the worse. Hit 70, and there is no vibrations above normal tiny bit. It tracks straight.

The stock tires are non-directional (on stock GT rims). The snows are directional and are on with the arrows pointing correctly forward (rotational)
-
The GT wheels have 30k miles on them, but i just rotated them also (x pattern) so i would think that would cause some vibration. Maybe not. I am goin to stop by firestone on my way home n have them throw them on the balancer and see
-
Hmmm ok. I just got an alignment last summer. My stock GT wheels/tires dont shake at all, thats why i feel it is this combo and not the car. But im no expert
-
I did mount the wheels. I cleaned the hub before putting them on and i used the 5 star torque pattern to 85#
-
They were stored on their sides, put on in 32* weather. Wouldnt think there would be a flat spot, but i've been wrong on multiple other occasions
-
Put winter tires on yesterday, got to drive on them today. Steering wheel shakes going between 40-70, 70+ doesnt shake... Out of balanced rim? Tires: Blizzak ws70 Rims: steelies

Thats funny. My college roommate just did one yesterday too. He's living in San Jose but idk where the competition was. Probably not the same as yours
