Those wheels look incredible. I currently am rolling on prodrive pf7's, but am looking to switch them to rota grids. I think that is huge a beefy wheel that highly compliments the legacy. Also, where did you get the lip?

  2. Car was on my lift and some one put a piece of wood under the other sides arms and as the car was being brought down the lift caught the piece of wood and the other side kept going down. The car ended up shifting and fell off the lift point and the arm went into the bottom of the door.

OMG!!!! If you were watching, I bet your were HORRIFIED, just seeing that happen knowing there was nothing you could do to stop it! I am sorry to hear about the damage! What all got messed up?

  3. Saw a QSM 08/09 spec b today on Mass Ave in Arlington. I couldn't tell because I was behind, but it looked like there were wider than stock tires on there, but otherwise all stock. It also looked like an older guy driving, so I'm not sure if they are on here.

Just pic whoring since the sun is shining and my car is clean. Rota Grid 18x8.5 with 225/40/18 Hankook tires on Tein H-Techs

I really love the rota grids. I think I'm gonna either sell my prodrives and get those, or just get them anyway. I think those really work on the legacy.

  5. Hi my fellow DBM owners. Can you please provide me of a close up picture of the windshield wiper heater element. I know you can see the heater circuit strips. My insurance replaced my windshield and did not include a wiper heater element on it. They were saying that because of the tint you cannot see the "circuit" I said BS and I will provided them a picture that the car came with it.

I can tell you for sure that you won't be able to see the heater element on the newer windshields. If you look at 2010-2011 subarus, you won't see it either. It is in fact because of the tint.

  6. I will have to concur. I had an 05 Regal Blue Pearl that I thought looked 5x's better. People always said that they liked it. Most of them were the car guy types. But with the DBM I've had strangers comment on the car a lot when I first bought it. Most of them ladies and middle aged men. Now its the winter and it seems to always be dirty so I haven't heard anything lately.

The color has grown on me a lot. I really disliked the color at first and didn't even consider buying my 3.0R because of it. However my wife said she liked it and I couldn't pass on the deal that I got for it. Now I think the color is pretty cool. It's just hard to find the right rim colors that compliment the car.

I get comments all the time....both when I lived in Texas as well as in MA. I feel like this is a color that really stands out as no one ever considers it until they see someone with it. I personally love it. i loved this color the second I set eyes on it.

  7. What coilovers are you using? Also, I would strongly suggest some window tint. They make a bronze-colored tint that looks great! I did a layer of bronze and then a layer of regular gray to get the slight bronze affect...if you want more bronze, then don't do the gray.

Oh and if you're going to get a truck spoiler, I would go with the STi replica one. I think that looks great. If my car hadn't come with a spoiler on it already from the factory, that would have been my choice.

  8. I cant believe no one on here has a RBS lip on their car. I just ordered a version 2 for my car.

You talking about the spoiler or the actual lip? If memory serves, there isn't a version 2 for the lip. I could be wrong though. I do have the rbs lip (not the rear spoiler) though....not sure what version it may be (if there is more than one)

  9. I was considering doing the silver like a Spec B has but I haven't really decided.

If you're gonna go that route, I would highly suggested a brushed aluminum instead of the crappy plastic used in the Spec B. Between the two (the GT and Spec B), while normally I hate "wood", it looks much better and more refined in the GT, than what they use in the Spec. It doesn't make sense that they use the same mats in a $35K Spec B as a $20K SE.

So that's why I would suggest a brushed look....or maybe even a silver carbon fiber (kinda like what they are using in the GT this year).

  10.

BTW, I saw the new bronze color for the 2011 Legacy, they look so ugly. I like this bronze much more, would had gotten one only if they have black interior.

Yeah I have to agree with you there. The 08-09 bronze is much better than the 11....however I do actually like the bronze on the Outback. For some reason it worked better with that body shape...kinda like the 08-09 bronze didn't look that good on the Outbacks, but did on the legacys.

I do wish at times, the bronze came with a dark interior (or at the very least, black carpets like in 09), however I think a dark interior wouldn't look that good with the bronze.
