Relief from catless DP stench, finally!

http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/general-diesel-discussion/39159-official-black-smoke-thread-3.html At least we don't do that, right? -
I have alignment issues that lead to the uneven tire wear. Ball joints/ tie rods need replacing up front and the lateral links? are worn in the rear. If I can find it I'll post my last alignment sheet. Inclement weather kinda scares me these days. Hard pack is fine but in slush the car wobbles side to side. The right can fell off sometime last year so I just have a straight pipe going from the resonator back, exiting the left. Thankfully my tax return money came in today, so I'll be getting the white line bump steer kit and a new camber kit for the front and the white line adjustable lateral links with the avo reinforcing bracket for the rear. Hopefully after that I'll be good for a while. I am getting one or two misfires on cylinder 4 upon start up so I don't really know how much life she has left. I will rebuild though...

There's a place called full throttle? In Waukesha that has an awd dyno. 80 session, i think. They were booked up when i went there. They specialize in gm products though.

Quick video of a "closed course " pull? Congrats on getting her up and going. -
Franz, did you end up going to madison for that dyno day?

If anyone is looking for a place to do work themselves check out handsongarage.com. Diy auto repair. I personally have save so much money on labor by going there. Free 22oz coffee mugs today too. It's off of silver spring and 45. I am in no way affiliated with the company, I just think it's a great idea/place.

It was a rough ride home today. Extremely worn tires made for an interesting ride on 164. Getting sideways when you don't want to is no fun. About time we did get get some though, right?

whether or not it's checked has no bearing on the outcome, unfortunately. It seems i have a bunk cable? upon first insertion a pop up states that it is a usbserial 2.0/ usbserial CH340. -

Gotcha. Will do. Thanks. Tried both through the wizard and the control panel/system/device manager. I unzipped the drivers in the ecu flash folder and tried it that way and without them being unzipped. deleted redownloaded through remove programs a couple of times. Thanks again. -

I got a kkl vag-com for 409.1 from ebay and have downloaded the ecuflash version from the first page since the cd that came with it did not contain ecuflash. Every time i go to plug it in it'll say found new hardware and the device manager pops up. I browse, myself, to the location where the FTDIBUS.inf file is at but when i select it and tell it to assign that driver, the system tells me that the file was either not found or the specified location does not contain information about your device. The cd i got with the cable did contain some vag-com software but no ecuflash. Could anyone help me out with this? Thanks! -
With all these lgts in the Waukesha area maybe somone should organize a meet is in the future?

I ended up getting the ebay gates kit with water pump for 250. Figure I should do it since I'm now at 184k and waiting on a stage 3 oem fueling tune. -
