next person to mention anything about an 08, ClimberD will take a 6 months vacation from VB and head to the Caribbean or Hawaii:lol:

I think the hard shifts is partially due to power mods (tune/stage 1/2) I had the hard 2-3 shifts when I went stage 1 w/ LW crank pulley. been stock since after reflash from dealer and no problems at all

for the 05-07?? (before canbus) you can use the vagcom and FreeSSM?? to reset the TCU

if its still under warranty, most likely one of the parameters needs the be reset in the tcu - this was my problem, and exact same symptoms you described i had the hard shift problem there is a bulletin for the hard shift, but this reflash for this bulletin did not fix my problem

Ok 08+ guys, I need my car, sorry its been 3 weeks without it and important things have come up ClimberD has been working hard but it is completely different then the 05 .blackgt. has contacted his dealership and a brand new 08 VB would be $827.16 Is there any interest for donations? I have not spoken with ClimberD about this and ultimately it would be his final decision. When ClimberD ships my VB back he will not have a 08 VB to work on

Bad news guys, sorry for the ones who are waiting for the 08+ VB mod. I have been out of my car for 3 weeks coming up to 4. ClimberD has been very generous by spending his time and money trying to figure out the 08 VB. Sadly it is completely different and little documentation on it. I am giving him about 1 more week to see if he can work any magic. I need my car back because there is important stuff for me coming up for me. Sorry guys for the disappointment/longer wait. If anyone goes to a junkyard/you pick it, please keep an eye out for 08+. I will compensate you for the VB to help keep this moving

I can see why IPT took a shortcut with the 08+ VBs, too much work for them to figure out the new VB:lol:

eh I dont mind road trips I drove from CA to CO and to Vegas straight. No breaks except for gas:lol: Didnt have cross-winds but this was in nov. Its up in the air if you cant find someone Ill be happy to come down and stay for a few days, Im sure I can figure something out if the time comes. Im sure theres people a lot closer to you...
