  1. You guys aren't having any trouble with inspection with these upgraded exhausts?
  2. Ok, ya I was thinking the line they are on is parallel to the face, but if referencing the hole then you're right I should have said perpendicular. Thanks for the write up, I never would have attempted this without it.
  3. I'll admit my newb-ness. I am 4 hours in, and haven't even gotten the first strut back together. I have this terrible spring compressor a friend let me borrow and it took forever just to get the stock spring out. I can't quite get the nut on by trying to compress the Eibach so I'll have to use the spring compressor again. Without ratcheting wrenches it makes for a very long process. Two quick questions a)The top part of the strut has some groove pattern notched in it from the stock spring. Unlike the bottom, it doesnt matter where the top part sits, correct? As long as the top bolts are parallel with the bottom hole, of course. b) Because the spring doesn't sit perfectly straight up on the bottom, the center threaded bolt of the strut doesn't line up with the center of the top cap. Thats normal, right? 1,000 more questions to come. Thanks for having patience with me everyone.
  4. How'd you guys get the rear bottom bolt back in? Got it to pop out, but seems like it's going to be tricky if it doesn't just slide right in. The obvious step seems to be get under the car and pound it in from the other side, but seems dangerous as well.
  5. Ok awesome. Thats simple enough and will be much less nerve racking worrying that I'm going to jack it up on the wrong spot and damage something. Thanks alot guys!
  6. In the walkthru for the rear installs, it says "I jacked up the rear of the car underneath the rear differential... then slid jack stands underneath the rear cradle beams." Where/what are these? I checked the manual and it seems like the rear differential "front member" is this piece, is this the correct place to jack? It says use "transmission jack"...Is that only if you remove that "front member" piece? Is the transmission under that (which I assume I dont have to touch?). I'm not really sure what those last two pics are jacking. Which are the rear cradle beams to put the jack stands under? I was just going to jack the car up and put a jackstand under the side of the car, like where you would for an oil change. Is this not stable enough?
  7. Ok I'll give it a try today or tomorrow. Thanks nemo. Edit: I take it these spec'd torques aren't required to be right on the money? I borrowed a torque wrench from work and it certainly does not go to a decimal like 22.4 ft-lb...
  8. Ya, that video is frustrating to watch because they make everything look so easy. Must be the gloves... What bolt in the front are people saying they have trouble getting off? One of the two bottom ones?
  9. So is there only one bolt on the lower part of the strut to remove (each side) to get the strut off in the rear? (Looks like its right under the rotor, no need to get under the car). These guys remove a bolt from the rear control arm when doing this swap on an STi, do we not have to do that? 10. Thanks. Do the Bilstiens raise the car an inch? As far as install/spring orientation, I assume you just want the numbers reading regular, not upside down?
  11. Do your Eibachs say 7716.001 and 7716.002 on the front and rears? Mine also have part #298445 and 296033 on them, not sure what that means. Just want to make sure they sent me the right part number before I install them. http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/6952/imag0140f.jpg http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/1232/imag0141fb.jpg http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/2216/imag0142.jpg
  12. This is with the Eibachs? Or you mean this is from adding the rear swaybar, mounts, and Bilstiens, before the springs went on? Edit: Forgot to mention, got the Pro Kits in from TireRack yesterday. Ground shipping, took only 3 days to get here.
  13. Do a search thru thread titles for 'RalliTek' and then do one for 'Eibach'. Look for the threads that have quite a few page lengths, and then read through them. This one has alot of info on the Eibachs, there might be another one I'm not sure. There is a long thread about RalliTeks on here too. Have the search show results as threads so you can sort through them easier. They aren't all in Suspension/Brakes, some I think the RalliTek one is in the vendor section, or RalliTeks own section, and I think there is a lengthy Eibach one under the group buy thread under MSi. If the search function here isn't showing alot, go to google and type site:Legacygt.com Eibach , etc.
  14. I checked the website a few times and it said they were out of stock. I signed up for the email alerts and waitied a few days and didn't receive anything. I probably should have called, but I saw TireRack said they only have "less than 2 left", which I assume is one , so I ordered so I didn't miss out. Thanks again! Are you planning on taking any install pics?
  15. Just ordered a set from Tirerack, thank you SO much for posting this, I never would have known they were in stock.
  16. Spotted a gray LGT in Chicopee today, custom grille, looked maybe lowered. Had a deep rumble, either exhaust or Hogzaust.
  17. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for you in the area.
  18. Spotted a nice grey lowered LGT, OEM grills, custom grill in Chicopee off Memorial Dr. on Sunday.
