Hey TTG, how is that wiring holding up for your independent foglight mod? I would be more than grateful if you would share your knowledge.
So far so good but I wish someone would figure it out how to do it the rightway..... I will PM you and let you know what i have done.

October marked the 1st year of ownership and she still looks as good as (even better) when we picked her up a year ago.
Just got the 3rd oil change done and it has been trouble free 15K miles.
Here are some pictures after her winter prep details.
No new mods to report at this time.

Sounds like RSB should be the next thing I do then
-
looks niceeee!!! did u change your stock RSB yet?
Thank You. I am going to leave the RSB alone. The car is a lease and I really don't need it to handle or perform any better than the way it already is....
I am lucky enough to have another toy in the garage for that kinda stuff
-
It was a wheels off detail day today.
Legacy got the undercarriage, wheel wells, exhaust and the wheels detailed....
Afterwards car got clayed, paint corrected and a coat of Zaino Z2 was applied.
I have also installed a set of painted mudflaps that I got from kostolom81. So far almost a year of owner ship and ~10K miles, she is looking better than day one....
Here are some pics..... (Sorry no before & during pics as the weather was not cooperating at all)
The day started like this (big thunder storm)

Great looking cars guys..... I love the 95 wagon! Very original
I did consider getting the mudflaps painted but then I did not want to deal with upkeeping on the paint due to chips & etc. Let us know how they hold up....
-
I can't believe someone hast done a proper DIY on this yet. 2 different methods for the 4th gen cars.
I would like the same capability as well.
I agree. I did this mod to my 08 Legacy 10 mins after I brought it home from the dealership....
5th gens can not be that complex
PS: On a side note, I see that you have a Firehawk. Even though, I never got a chance to own one I have owned a total of 5 4th Gen F-Bodies

Legal tint, splash guards, lower grill cover in this photo. Hoping for silver Enkei RFP1's and RCE lowering springs.
Wow, that is a great picture and a nice looking car!
If you didn't do it in a "proper" way why did you do it, impetuosity? Are you thinking you'll pop fuses, burn wires?I don't want a get into a public discussion on this....
The reason I did it is bec I simply wanted to run my parking lights with fogs.
-
Didn't realize he quoted you. My bad.
No biggie, I just got excited thinking that someone found a way
-
Last pic in post #83
That is my car not his.....
If someone has done this please share. I have that feature on my Dodge, but I would be nice to rock the Legacy as such.I did this mod but not in a "proper" way and therefore do not want to post a write up.
I am still waiting for someone to come up with a way that is done the right way.
-
I see that nacron has his foglights on without the headlights.
Did I miss the part where someone figured out how to achieve this?
Where exactly do you see that? Link to pics?
-
Nice purchase!
Thank You
Lower grill looks good.I've been on the fence for awhile because I wasn't sure how the pattern would match up to the upper/fog light honeycomb. While not perfect, it is far better than the gaping whole the factory gave us.
I agree..... The quality is good, fitment is ok and it looks much better than how it was before.
Nice Legacy! That pic of you at the gas station is the same station I go to! In Ballard right?Good eye
What did you mean by fog light mod?... the lamin-x and the replacement?Being able to turn on the foglights without headlights.
The picture above only parking lights + fogs are on.....
-
I have laminx yellow covers for my fogs...they seem to have discolored in the center from the heat. When the fogs are on, it looks red in the center.
I have clear covers with 3K fogs. So far so good
I don't care for that yellow look when the lights are off.
-
^^Lower grill sans logo looks really good.
Thank You!
New updates look good TTG!Also; did you buy a clearbra kit for the rocker panels or did you have it installed by the dealer, etc.?
Thank You. When I was getting the clear bra installed, I asked them to cover the rocker panels as well. So it was all done professionally.
-
Busted a fog-light on the highway which trigerred few weekend projects:
-Install new foglight
-Instal Lamin-X clear covers
-Do the fog light mod
-3K GP Thunder Fog bulbs
-Install the Grillcraft lower grill that has been sitting around for sometime.
To do all of this, I decided to pull the front bumper off and also wanted to examine my HID set up 5 months after install.....
Lower grill was easy to install with the bumper off but I am not too impressed with Grillcraft's fitment. Also mine must be the few grills where they did not put their emblem on which I have no problem with....
Here is are some pics.... (sorry the car is dirty)
The cause:

Was your car in Neutral/Drive while you took this picture?
It was in Neutral.....w/ ebrake on.... Good observation
-
TTG....how do you like those WeatherTechs? I was thinking of getting them but afraid of the possibility of heel hole. Do you think they're up to the task? What do you think of the fitment?
So I just installed them on the car and pretty much parked it rightwawy.... very limited observation so far.
The fitment is perfect but the thickness was better on the OEM ones. I would go for weathertech if you are concerned about protecting a larger area than OEM, but if you want bulletproof thickness OEM Subaru mats are perfect! I hope this helps.

Great looking car and detail routine!
Silver was one of the colors I was looking for and I use a combo or Zaino and Adam's products for exterior!
I think I will steal your JDM/EDM cup holder idea...
Thank You!
Adam's has some good products and I am a big fan of Zaino....
Totally go for the cup holders.... It cleans up the console area big time
-
and I am in town for a change. I had some stuff for the Subie sitting in boxes.
After a mini detail, I've installed the weathertech floor mats which appear so much better than OEM's as far as coverage area.
Dealer also gave me a set of OEM mudflaps as part of my purchase deal back in October. I decided to install only the rear ones today since OEM front ones appear useless and i have clearbra installed on rocker panels anyway. . Install was easy. I rotated the tires and cleaned up the rims when I was at it.....
After all work was done, I took the M out of hibernation for a day and gave Subie a rest.....
Here are some pics.....

But there's more info about the cupholder here than over there... actually, if people are talking about it (it is an open forum, after all) then it quite clearly IS about the cupholder - as far as I can tell, someone who drives an ice silver metallic legacy sedan posted a pic of something they did inside the sedan (I'm trying to remember who that was... oh wait - it was you!) and people are asking questions about it. Heck - my car's ice silver metallic, too, and I'm talking about making mods so it's mods in an ice silver metallic car - doesn't that count for something? can't that be in here?
So another topic which came up in here is the cover for the pocket by the radio - you didn't get all wound up about that for some reason - and it's not even clear if his car is ice silver metallic!
perhaps if you want this to be your own personal thread all about you, you should put that in the thread title, rather than calling the title "2012 ice silver metallic" - there are examples of that all over the board...
I realize that it's odd to have a discussion going on in a discussion board, but hey, sometimes it happens. You should be happy - your "look at me" thread is getting noticed!
as an aside, I find it even funnier that the person who thanked you for posting that they we shouldn't post our cupholder questions here also thanked the person who linked to this thread from the cupholder thread
As a person who is asking questions over and over about a cup holder, it is my opinion that you would get better visibility if you post on a thread that is actually related to a cup holder.....
I have been happily answering many PMs about this mod as is.

Looking awesome!

Thanks for the info - I got another email this morning from japanparts and they realized what the problem was - they have a typo on their website - it should read "silver with lens" and "silver without lens" - I am guessing that's for if you have the interior illumination kit. so "silver without lens" it is!
This thread is NOT about JDM cup holder. I have already started one on that subject. Please post all of your cup holder related questions there and only post regarding Ice Silver Metallic on this thread.
Thank You.

...and just to frefresh my issue :
Does anybody have the Subaru-part number for the front dash compartment (piece #13 in post Nr. 34) ?
For how I use the compartments, the front one would serve me to be closed.
The center one could also be a completely open compartment (so not as cupholder).
The only "cupholder" I use (sometimes) is the bottle holder in the doors.
Never used the center as cupholder, as even small bottles (0,5 l) often get in the way when I move from armrest to shifter.
I suggest that you start a new thread about your request since it is not specific to Ice Silver thread.
You will get more visibility that way.
