  1. Any more shots that better show the mudflaps?

I am on the fence whether or not I like them on this generation and I'd love to see more pics of them on this color so I can make up my mind finally. :)

I loved my Rally Armors on my '09 3.0R, but I can't decide if they'll look good on my '13 3.6R or not! :spin:

I miss my old car…..wonder where it is now.

I had custom painted OEM mud flaps. To me it is all about the little things. I left them on the car when I traded it in. :(

  2. FYI - I keep my cars at least 10 years/100,000 miles. Are you saying the paint on Subaru's ages faster than other vehicles? I expect to incur normal small pock marks from sand, small rocks, etc. as a matter of just driving around.

I would not call Subaru's paint bad or low quality. If you take care of it, it will hold up.

However, if I were to keep my cars as long as you do, I would definitely invest in a clear-bra. I get all of my cars wrapped right away since I can not stand rockchips.......and I lease.....my car will be gone once 3 years is up.

  3. paint needs to be taken care of if its going to stay looking good, get the clear cover installed, im sure that will prevent lots of damage. I thought you were doing that TTG? It looks easy, just more money and my insurance covers repairs. The info is in one of the threads on the original 15 Legacy with a cracked windshield. If i had plenty of extra money, no doubt i would get it and DIM

Yes, the front of my car is all wrapped with Xpel.

I was going to get clearplex for the windshield and decided against it once I was quoted $500 for it. I would rather keep changing the windshield than paying for clearplex which also needs to be replaced every so often.

  4. Here in NJ the Subaru dealer charges $675, that's without tax, to replace the windshield and the surrounding moldings. It might be worth it to go through your insurance. I'd much rather pay $500 than close to $800.

Our OEM windshields are made by Carlex.

I called the local shop for a Carlex replacement and they quoted me $518+tax

I am going to hold out until summer to replace it for now.

  5. Well, at 5K miles...... my already cracked windshield, cracked again from the same spot but lower...... But all caused by rock-chips. I have owned boat load of cars and this has never happened before. T shaped crack was the 1st and now, there is another one on the lower side. So glad, I did not already replace it :-)

  7. I really wish Subaru made the C light LED lights brighter on the limited trim (for the 3.6 in my case) so they could be used as DRL only. Looks so much better!

I am with you. I have no I idea why they did not do this. I am hoping that someone will figure out a way the make the existing LEDs much much brighter.

  8. Well, I started this thread 3 years ago when my Ice Silver Legacy got delivered. 3 years 33K miles later, new 2015 is on the way and it is time for me to say good bye to best Subaru I have owned so far (6th one and counting).

For the last road trip, we took her to Washington's wine country and toured wineries for 3 days. Here are some pictures from the road trip.

My next Legacy (which is white this time) is due to arrive 2nd week of October

This will most likely be my final addition to this thread :(

  9. I guess the next step is the fog light mod, I saw the 5th gen, I just need to know which wire is the fog light to tab it to an ignition line trace with my multimeter instead of forget to turn it off leaving the car and come back with a dead battery.

Keep us posted please. There really isn't a good way of doing it on 5th gens. Mine are tabed into the parking lights directly. This is how many others have done it as well.
