  1. I have a shop that I go to that charges $43. There was a recall on the legacy so I figured I'd get the oil change. Last time I paid was around 70 last year. And I like to support the dealership (I've had 9 subarus, 3 today) But $90 bucks? That's a rip off.
  2. I've changed my oil since I was 16yrs old. I don't have time to do oil changes with my hectic schedule. I've logged on legacygt.com today. Last time I was on, I posted this thread.
  3. Just paid almost 90 bucks for an oil change for my legacy at my local Subaru dealership. That's the most I've every paid. I'll go to another auto shop that's much cheaper. Anyone getting oil changes at your dealership?
  4. Here's a logic, the Subaru Cracked Windshield Lawsuit Grows To 2.5 Million U.S. Vehicles including the 2017-2020 legacy and outbacks. https://www.torquenews.com/1084/subaru-cracked-windshield-lawsuit-grows-25-million-us-vehicles
  5. I tried researching and didn't see another thread. Have you guys seen this 3.6r legacy with STI performance parts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuhG84mpbGQ Just wondering if there's a link for some of the parts. Also, how'd they get the 10hp? Is this a tune that's available? Just curious. THanks.
  6. I actually think my 3.6r 2018 legacy is really stable at high cruising speeds.
  7. My bad. It's just me then. Sorry for the illogical post. https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2017/subaru-cracked-windshields-lawsuit.shtml http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/61-general-discussions/373593-2017-outback-windshield-fixed.html
  8. Same route to work for the past 10yrs. Driven my wrx, tribeca, impreza (traded in for. Legacy), and now legacy 3.6. First time any of my cars had replacements. Do the research, there's threads everywhere about legacy and outback windshield replacements.
  9. My car was barely a few weeks old and I still don't have my new windshield from Safelite. They keep telling me its on the way because its an oem windshield. How long did it take to order the oem windshield? Its been like 2 weeks. And subaru, shame on you for making fragile windshields.
  10. Safelight rescheduled 3x for my windshield to be replaced. They can't get a hold of the oem windshield. Still waiting.
  11. One of the problems my uncle has with the fusion sport is the terrible gas mileage around town. We were talking about how he was getting 16mpg. My WRX gets much better than that.
  12. Maybe you should read my post carefully again? I didn't buy the legacy for speed. I already have tuned wrx that would destroy a Taurus. I was just curious if the cvt changes that subaru worked on improved some performance. Lol Just fun conversation. No need to get worked up.
  13. It's all magazine comparisons and I'm aware there are many variables when measuring how fast a car can run. But did anyone catch the 2018 outback 3.6r doing 0-60 in 6.9 seconds in 15.2 @ 95.9, about a half second than the 2015 test which was 0-60 in 7.4 in 15.7 @ 91.2. I'm assuming the legacy might be a fraction faster too. But that trap speed and 0-60 breaking into late 6's makes me think that the 2018 model adjustments/tune subaru did to make the cvt more smooth on the 2018 models may have had an impact on performance. Just some fun #'s comparison. Tried looking up times on a 2018 legacy 3.6 but didn't find anything. Thoughts?
  14. I loved the GT. Was one of the first owners in 05 in my city. What was cool about the GT was it competed with the entry luxury market like the bmw 325, audi a4, and Acura TL. I ended up trading the GT for a 11 WRX ltd. And I really like my wrx but it's a bit more "rough" and the wife gets annoyed with the drone. I have the wrx in my garage in pristine condition and comes out on weekends. I actually have a 16 impreza that really nice. Great on gas, it's really stable on highway speeds, and a solid vehicle. Sometimes its slow though. I was looking at something more luxury and bigger like the legacy. But I'm considering the Forester XT. If the GT came out today, even without all the bells and whistles, I'd buy it again.
  15. So are you happy with the 17 after owning the gt? I owned the 05 gt and looking at an 18. Styling has gotten better and i'm looking at the 3.6 .
  16. new tires make the legacy a new car in the handling dept. just ask any person here that has done it. it also helps control tail kick out but that's also a tuning of the tire in regards to tire pressure. electrical issues? vw is known for all kinds of problems and that is one of the biggest complaints (http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2004-05-11-vw_x.htm) my friend had taken his car to the dealership 6 times in the past 5 months for all sorts of electrical problems. sorry to clarify, it was the cobalt SS. even on stock tires, when the cars rear starts to slide, you need to give it some gas. check your tires pressure too...
  17. BS. My friends VW GTI VR6 hatch while small and handles adequate is slow compared to the legacy. we've even taken our cars to the local autocross for fun and his car is no where near the LGT Ltd. On a roll, from the dig, offroad and it's bye bye for the lower leagued VW. Now he has to sell his car because of some reoccuring electrical problems (surprise surprise?). Changing the legacy tires (i've got the BF goodrich g-force tires) makes all the difference in the world but I still had better lap times even on the stock 92's than he when we went to our local track up here in north houston. The spec b leggacy shows the potential with its lap and handling times with a better tuned legacy and it beat the latest A4 and a gti doesn't come anywhere near an A4. I personally think the stock tires aren't as bad as people make it out to be. THey're really not great but still can do an OK job. No way would a GTI "smoke" the legacy even with stock tires on an autocross because I actually tried it. And for the gas record too, my friend uses premium and was getting only 19-24 MPG very close to my legacy at 21-25MPG. My other friend that owns a chevy cobalt actually beat the GTI on the autocross too. Not to mention his chevy has no problems and the GTI is just a nightmare... a lot of the whole handling issue witht the legacy has a lot to do with the shifting and driving.
