The exhaust doesnt determine rumble, your header does. Seeing as you have a 2001, you already have unequal length headers which means rumble

Thanks! Updated first post. Now make a video where you're revving it!

I just looked into it, you're right about EE and Eibach being the same, which makes me wonder why EE doesnt provide the starting rate
Well, When Eibach made & private labeled these for us - they made them to the exact spec of their Pro-Kit they used to produce...Rallitek specs are as follows...
F: -1.1 inches, 5.5-6.1 kg/mm
R: -0.9 inches, 4.3-6.5 kg/mm
-
Yea, that's the general rule between progressive and linear springs. Progressive will be more comfy while cruising. Linear will be better for quick transitions, like Auto-X.
-
Eibach
F: -1.0 inch, 3.0-4.0 kg/mm
R: -0.76 inch, 3.0-6.0 kg/mm
Epic Engineering
F: -1.0 inch, 4.0kg/mm
R: -0.8 inch, 5.9kg/mm
Veeery similar, except it looks like Eibachs are progressive and the EE's are linear

Anybody know what kind of fish it is? (the one that's doing the nomming)

As indicated on the videos, they are just the axle-backs (mufflers). No point in doing a whole cat-back for a stock 2.5i engine cause you'd just be paying a bunch of money to lose low-end torque
Luckily I bought the axle-back locally used for only $350

Updated first post with a better video of the AVO's..

Is installing epic springs on stock struts with 120k a bad idea?
will ride comfort be crappy?
I would suggest saving up for struts/shocks and installing them together. Get it done right the first time and save yourself from doing/paying for the labor twice. You'll also be much happier with the performance result this way.
-
Oh, if they never ride in it then the chances of them noticing will go way down then lol.
-
Based on the X02 video on the first page, it seems pretty subtle, kinda similar to my AVOs. It's definitely noticeable, but not obnoxious.

wheels are O.Z. Ultraleggera

I think that's the first Albero I've seen on a wagon, looks great! I think a JDM-style headlight treatment would make it look even better
-
Is that in KM or miles? Either way, that's a lot!
I've had mine for 4 years now and Im at 69,xxx KM!
-
...because there's more GT members than 2.5i owners

Adding to what katalyst already said, even if you go that route you'll just be a guinea pig for something that will cost you some internal organs on the black market. To reach 300AWHP you gotta be running at least 10+psi of boost, which is not recommended for our high compression engines.
The AVO turbo kit has actual R&D put into it and proven to be reliable on Impreza 2.5RS' and older Legacy models. It will give you around 200AWHP (~260 flywheel HP if we assume 30% drivetrain loss)
+1 for selling your 2.5i for an LGT if you want more power than that. This car is meant to be a reliable daily driver, not a platform for boosting.
The plus side is we can mod it to handle like the LGT. The best bang for your buck on this car is towards the suspension and that's where I'm spending mine.

No idea.
I believe katalyst posted up the reasoning up above in case you missed it.

Hi N.Sane.
Thanks for that.
Do you know why there not interchangeable?
Will the STI Group N top hats fit on the 2.5i struts?
Yes, that works. A few people have done that already with their LGT struts with Koni inserts, which are the same as the 2.5i struts (there are rumors the 2.5i struts are valved a little softer, but the overall design and measurements are the same). You just need spacers to make it work.
That's the route Im taking. I already have the Koni's sitting under my bed, and the Group N top hats sitting in my closet with the spacers.
-
It wont work.
You'll either need the Spec B top hats or you can use the STI Group N top hats which are more firm.

Nice! Updated 1st post

blackfang has the SPT catback bolted on without any modification. The exhaust note will only sound like an LGT if you have unequal length headers though, which were only used for the 2005 model.
-
Sweet. Updated first post!

I don't think the tips are too bad, compared to say the Greddy Evo2 or STI Genomes the muffler section is definitely on the chunky side though. Oh well, I got a great deal on them locally, quality is great, and sounds great
I originally wanted the Prodrives but they were pricey when they were still available new, and a rare piece now.
