  1. So quick question here, what someone got the whole wiring harness out of a spec b with the ECU & dash?
  2. i really hope the interest stays growing so this can happen at some point. Having a legacy based chassis of any kind makes a great car to travel in in my opinion, having the ability to go anywhere without the concern of having to switch tunes, carry extra fuel, etc would be terrific feeling. Not to mention embarrassing bros from station to station!!
  3. I think local for happy is on the other side of the pond
  4. That is my next install! You have the setup on youtube don't you?
  5. Still bumping for the 08 VB upgrade , i'm afraid i'll never see it before my Subaru days are over.
  6. Do they all have a lot of slop when in park, like roll back and or forth?
  7. Another good example is when you put it in park on a slight slope, it will make a loud click. Same for going into drive. U-joints do make sense, I'll check them. Are the diff bushings an upgrade on the 08 style Trans as well? The vf52 puts the 5eat to the test and I'm thinking about switching to e85 soon.
  8. 08 5eat, lately I have noticed the tranny seams sloppy, when going from park to reverse to drive ect. Center diff bearings maybe?
  9. I will see if i can grab one, i talked to my tuner last night and he asked me to look for any maf related leaks, so i cleaned that and in the process noticed my inlet had slipped quite a ways so i am not driving it till i get that fixed, id love for that to be the problem but i have a feeling im not that lucky. It is however T-bolt time on that thing. I really don't understand why there is no lip where the inlet hooks on.
  10. 3 logs I did last week after noticing the knock initially.BtSsm_20150407_223456_knock.csv BtSsm_20150407_223759.csv BtSsm_20150407_224004_knock.csv
  11. Ok guys i need some help. I recently picked up a Btssm and one of the first things i noticed was knock, which has had me concerned ever since. I have searched to no avail for anything loose causing it. Last night i did some logging after doing a compression check on the drivers side cylinders and plugs. I looked afterword and noticed i was an idiot as my IAM had dropped considerably and really hope i didn't hurt it more than it might already be. 08 OBXT 5eat catless dp, stock mid, sti muff tgv deletes dw65c vf52 perrin inlet perrin drop in open source fuel tank was probably around 1/4 (could be an issue) running 93, tuned on 91 Attached is one long log split into 2. Something appears very wrong to be me but i am also very new to this. I am talking with my tuner but haven't had time to meet yet. I guess i am asking for ideas on problems and if i should stop driving it at this point. Also is this log useless, i have been trying to figure this out for about a week now and the logs i pulled last night are the only ones i have seen with the IAM dropped, maybe i missed hooking something up? 12. Well i reluctantly had to take my car into the dealer to have my remote start programmed, and while it was in i had them relearn the transmission (08 OBXT). I am happy to remote it made a world of difference, it shifts very smooth now, like i am sure it should with the rev matching, gone are the hard 2-3 shifts and reving, it is a lot more confident feeling and still shifts well under WOT. And they didn't even charge me! C/N: 08+(at least in my experience) get your tranny relearned if you are having shift problems.
  13. i mean i beat on it quite frequently. From what i read on here i do believe that the 08 transmission is a little stronger, however i've never seen a failing 05-07 one. A friend has a 05 lgt 5eat, and i will say it shifts a lot firmer than my car, or at least it feels that way. I'm going in for a full transmission relearn soon though, so hopefully soon it will be even better.
  14. I really wish our fender openings were wider
