i had mine done in my 08 and he wasn't able to reprogram due to it being different; looked around for an answer but ended up just moving the chip over from one board to another; worked great

I believe i am in a position of needing a new ECU as well. Couple of questions: 1. I assume that i would need to uninstall my accessport before doing this? 2. Anyone with the know how/tools willing to do this for others? I don't know my way around well enough i don't believe to be messing with my ECU? Compensation of course.

Speaking of torque converters; can someone discribe what the "shutter" feels like. I am having all sorts of issues with my car and i am wondering if they are all steeming from a failing converter. When going up hills at highway cruise sometimes the car is almost surging, and you can watch rpm go up/down quickly like the converter is locking/unlocking, does that sound like shutter? I will add a video of what btssm is showing that kinda matches my issues. I'm also wondering if this is also causing false knock instances which get to the point of car barely running so much timing is pulled as the instances can be completely random, runs fine one min, terrible next all seeming from knock. Cryo can you explain why no AT, are they that much different or what?

I think i have heard of people putting GR STi ecu's in spec b's, having them programmed to match the immobilizer, not positive on this but i think i've seen it done. Maybe that is public knowledge on those special cars, but im not sure The no availability for the canbus auto cars is very sad

Did anyone else think that the ride suffered when adding even a 1" spacer lift? I think maybe if you went to adjustable control arms it would be different but i just looked forward to the softer ride in the winter and w/ the 1" it just wasn't worth the install pain & poor ride quality.

I'm in the middle of an update, hope is the tablet doesn't have to come out again after I'm all said and done with the install!

Has anyone used one of these? It's expensive so some feedback would be awesome. I am redoing my setup to be more permanent and efficient which requires me changing out to a micro usb cord so i can fire the unit up if/when it dies without having to remove it completely. i was able to do this some time back, although i think it was a little more involved, i ended up getting it done without any cutting but required going all the way into the dash and the steering column. Are you fog lights still fully functional? I set up so that my fog lights could be used with my running lights without the DRL's.

So the bumper is aesthetically about the same besides for a little different shape in the headlights and around the grill? For some reason I thought they had a little less utilitarian look to them till I was looking on eBay a couple nights ago. Now not sure it's worth it just for the squirrels lol

xt2005bonbon are you running your tablet with a btssm dongle or do you have the cable? Just curious as i just got mine setup and like timur said with the torque app, the bluetooth is not shutting down and is eating battery in FI mode.

Did I see a few pages back that you are going for the jdm/edm front end conversion. I'm super interested in seeing that. I've always wanted the sprayer headlights but that is a pricey swap needing everything fenders forward

So I am now running timur kernal for android 6.0. I am stuck because I can't figure out what I am supposed to do to setup vcam for my backup camera? Anyone help?
