Depending on what part of the model year your car was made - early on or later - the assembly process may have involved a supplier and / or equipment change-over ... and your owner's manual should explain this - by the month / year of production on the metal tag affixed to the car. Diver's door column ......

 

Or ............ just take the bad bulb to a parts store. They can identify the critter for you.

FYI the Manual is incorrect for MY2008. Post above is correct ID for a 2008 Legacy....

Parked next to a 2008 QSM LGT with a "santacruz" license plate frame at Deluxe Foods in Aptos yesterday.

Pulled up next to an 05-ish LGT on Stevens Creek last night just before 9pm, you were in 'I' (Ignore) Mode, but Hi anyway....

Last night in the 5 story garage in downtown Santa Cruz, '08 QSM SpecB, SC Subaru plate frame...It's a local twin!

Spotted SCspecB's car in it's usual resting place. The grill looks good. One of these days I'm going to jack your bilstiens while you're sleeping.

 

Anyone know how long it takes to pull a transmission out of a SpecB?

we were behind what I could only assume was sneakyfast, right after he got on the freeway at state park dr...I waved and woulda pulled up next to you but we had to take the exit...cleeeean ride.

on my drive back from sunset beach... i spotted a white lgt sedan 06/07 i believe it to be along southbound hwy 17 around 430pm. has a rbs grille and GT badging in the grille. who claims this car? i was going northbound on 17, doubt you wouldve seen me.

prolly sneakyfast, he seems to be the most visible LGT on the SC side of the hill...

Spotted an '08 DGM SpecB in the 7-11 parking lot at the corner of Ocean and Broadway in Santa Cruz last night around 10:30. Probably Bo again...

hah for once it wasn't me, we were out in Watsonville watching Batman...got my first close up of an E92 in the parking lot, white with red interior, Fremont BMW window sticker. Pretty slick. Also saw a blue LGT sedan on SB 1 around midday in the capitola area.

Bronze '08 GT with Stevens Creek (!?) paper plates on it about ~6pm 880/17 NB...Tried to catch up to give a wave, but didn't feel like matching your 90+ to do it. When you did slow down, you weren't friendly anyway...Oh well....

I'm guessing it was sneakyfast, about 645pm, the intersection of soquel/san jose rd and soquel dr...white lgt sedan, tint, dark aftermarket wheels.
