  1. thats awesome...hey guys what about a full catback exhaust?? We can call it the Lowes Brothers Power Twin Exhaust system. Get like, 3.5" PVC pipe to replace the mid pipe, and then at the downpipe junction, get a PVC reducer. get some sort of insulation so it doesnt melt up there, then use a T-junction for the ypipe and run like 2.5" pvc out the back of the car. You could duct tape it to the exhaust hangers and paint it black or grey. It would be cheap, and probably sound AWESOME....

yes but it would have that weird noise PVC has when you smack it against something, but all the time... You could technically Wrap it or spray it with high temp paint... i could see this not working and being bad though... if you do it please post a video and pictures. "I`ve never seen the country Nigeria before so shoot some of the backround too."

  2. This idea of Hogzaust is completely absurd. Remove the gaskets and get the sound of an aftermarket CB. F-ing rediculous.......

I just tried it today (with a gutted front cat and a bypassed resonator I might add), and couldnt be happier. Did have to pay an exhaust shop $30 to torch the old bolts out since they rusted in place. It may be several years before I buy an aftermarket CB.

Its great for amber Check Engine Lights too... :)

  3. Here's what I got:

Thank you for your order at Sparkplugs.com. Below is a summary of your order for your records:

    4 - NGK IX iridium

    Stock Number: 2309

    Part Number: LFR7AIX

Seemed to be just like the originals, and worked fine.. (for 20+K so far)

Interestingly enough, according to sparkplugs.com, there are different brands of plugs, with DIFFERENT OE gaps for our car..

    http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_app.asp?productTypeID=1&AAIA=1430733

Autolites are pre-gapped to 0.040, Denso to 0.035 and Champion and NGK to 0.030.

Does this mean they're all equivalent (i.e. Autolite plugs are slightly different and will work in the LGT at 0.040)?

    On the other hand:

    http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=lfr7aix&x=0&y=0

    Shows that lfr7aix are pre-gapped to 0.032.

The SILFR6A are listed as "extreme long life", while the LFR7AIX are not. Given that I'm changing 'em every 30-40K anyway, does it matter? The LFR7AIX are one step colder (I'm stage 2), and 2/3 the price of the SILFR6A. They don't list an SILFR7A...

Wow - "traditional" champion plugs are less than $3 each, $2.89, SILFR6A are $12 each. Not that I'd get anything but NGKs...

as the saying goes Chapion plugs are for mustangs, NGK's are for performance cars like ours. NGK all the way. I am ordering NGK LFR-7AIX today.

  4. chatter usually happens when its not installed correctly. that happened to my scion tc i had. i had a spec stage two that would chatter almost all the time on the highway. sounds almost like one of the springs in the clutch where slamming into the flywheel. In more recent experiences i had a stage 3 spec in my legacy gt ltd, that chattered ever time i started in first gear. deffinately to strong for the car, it held back the engine quite a bit. Maybe look at getting a different stage clutch, or getting it checked by a different mechanic.
