  1. I figured there would be some interest from the TSD rally veterans....besides, it would be fun to just drive! We only have a few people so far but I'm hoping for more than 15 by the time the event rolls around...
  2. Saturday, May 28 · 10:00am - 4:00pm The FIRST ANNUAL Hunger Drive Rally! Help us raise food and supplies for local food banks while having a blast! You don't need a souped up ride, just some spirit and good humor! You will need: 1. A running car 2. A Safeway Club card ...3. $20 entrance fee 4. A few bucks for groceries, gas, and any other surprises 5. A winning spirit! This will be a timed rally from checkpoint to checkpoint. You will not win by being the fastest, rather by being the closest to the specified time allotted. This rally will take about 5-6 hours to finish and be combined with a grocery list of items to add a "scavenger hunt" atmosphere to the event. These items will be collected at the end of the rally; then they will be donated to the local food bank. There will be door prizes and a trophy (a real trophy) for the winner. As this is a non-profit event, all proceeds will be donated to local charities as well. One last thing, THE MORE, THE MERRIER! I hope you all can make it and have a great time doing this rally! The Hunger Drive Rally will start at the Bothell Safeway; 6850 Bothell way at 10:00 AM May the 28th. See you there! I know this is short notice but I have a PNW event that some of you might be interested in! One of my petrol-head friends has had the idea of a road rally rattling around in his head for years and has finally set it into motion. Below is a link to the Facebook page but you'll have to sign in to your FB account to access it: https://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=188486601187027
  3. Level Ten trannys have been known to grenade despite their claims.... I'm patiently waiting until I can put a kit on my 5EAT and continue on my mod path...*crosses fingers that ClimberD can beat TransGo to the market!*
  4. GT 5eat car year? - 05 IPT VB mod already performed? No Are you willing to pay close to but less than IPT prices (perhaps again) for a proper shift kit modification performed by fellow 5eat performance enthusiast ClimberD himself? Yes, Yes, and YES! I have been holding off on the IPT service since many members have reported less than stellar output form the VB mod alone. I plan on keeping my 5EAT for a while and would love to be confidant in my ability to make more than stg. 2 power...!
  5. .....I for one have enjoyed the fact the SeeeeYa tried a quick and cheap fix to one of the failure points of the stock TMIC! I don't plan on changing out the turbo too soon so I'm happy to try this fix...now the only major issue I have on my stg. 2 LGT is the 5EAT weaknesses!
  6. I've been missing some Wingdome myself!
  7. ...not sure if the BIU will allow for the plug and play of the stalk.... I'm sure you could always just get a blank button for the section next to the mirror defrost and hardwire it with a switch....? I'm just thinking out loud....IDK GL
  8. I got a standard Clarion unit with hardwiring for power and audio [ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UC158O/ref=oss_T15_product]Amazon.com: Clarion BLT370 Bluetooth® Receiver Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming: Electronics[/ame] I just spliced in the output of the Bluetooth adapter into the input line of the Aux-in kit, retaining the 3.5mm jack on the end for the Ipod etc. I just turn the kit to automatic so if I get a call, the auxin takes over and turns off the music. Works well for streaming music, turn-by-turn nav, etc
  9. +100 for this product! Did the install last night with the addition of wiring in a Bluetooth adapter inline. Just spliced into the 3.5mm mini-plug and set the switch to auto. Now I can stream audio over my phone wirelessly into the stereo and it pauses the music on the CD if I get a call. Thanks again Red Floyd!!!
  10. I've always heard under-powering did more damage when driven hard.... Did I miss the answer somewhere in the last 3 pages...?
  11. I would say its a possibility given the electrode damage and more discoloration...
  12. I just finished my 60K with a set of the NGK 1 step cooler. Stage II with stock plugs up until now... Everything seems just fine after 200 miles but I need to make it through a few tanks of fuel and do a bit more logging to be sure...
  13. Got the plugs changed out in 2 hrs flat! Thanks for the heads up on turning the coil 180 deg.... Would have made the whole thing FAR worse if I didn't know that! Old ones look great, no conductor erosion and only light white deposits. The step colder version seems to run great. Getting better mileage and more power from the butt dyno...
  14. Just received mine yesterday. I'll try to post up initial impression and pictures ASAP. Also, shipping took ~5 days so thanks Red Floyd for the quick service!
  15. Also, found a good discount code for sparkplugs.com! Use 15clublex for a discount of iridium plugs...it cuts the shipping in half! It makes the set cost $37 shipped. I like saving money even if it is just a little.
  16. Just placed my order. it probably came in as Mandy from 98133 as that's how I setup the paypal... I just hope Canadian Post is faster then 2 weeks....seriously! USPS seems to do it faster then that....
  17. Do you think it's worth the money to buy any of the upgraded belts avaliable... to reduce the interval between changes and handle the higher power levels?
  18. Count me in!!! Now I don't have to buy a Cleansweep for the fidelity I want....
  19. The notebook was a chick flik...out a while ago.. maybe it's supposed to be showing his sensitive side, thus equating to more tail? Thats my guess...
