    Quotes???

Having a motorcycle that can easily break all the nation's speed limits in first gear is like having an 18" penis. It's fun to have an talk about, but what the hell do you do with it? - My brother
  2. Man who stick head in bowl of punch will surly get punch in nose. Man who farts in church will surly sit in his own pew. New corduroy pillow is making headlines Took my cat to the vet to get a cat scan. Took my dog to the vet to get a lab report. Politics me off.
  3. I will ALWAYS take my car to Pernots in Janesville. Lee is top notch and will bend over backwards for his customers. He does a ton of work for the Subie dealer across the street so he knows the Subaru product.
  4. Ok, I finally got it back in the other day and got the seat fixed. They ended up with a new seat frame and also put a seat heater in there while they were doing it.(The original got really hot on low) Here are the part numbers on my invoice. Seat - 64100AG0-5A Heater - 64111AG0-4A There were no costs on the invoice since it was warranty, however I thought I saw the prices somewhere with the frame being in the $150 range and the heater being in the $110 range. Labor took about 4-5 hours to complete the job.
  5. EXCELLENT WALK THROUGH! Did you happen to notice the location of the thermostat for the seat heater?
  6. I had the car in today to get the seat fixed. However with Don Jacobs closing and transfering everything to Wilde Chrysler, they are in the middle of mass confusion and couldn't find the parts. I have to come back once things settle down. I will post the parts info after I get it back in.
  7. I can post the parts list. I'm having mine repaired next weekend. They had to order the seat frame.
  8. Funny this was just brought back. Mine goes in tomorow for the seat squeek. They believe it's coming from the lower seat. I got them to reproduce it when I took it in for my last oil change and they are fairly confident they know where it's coming from. I will post what I find out. As for a loner car, they are giving my an Outback from what I was told on the phone today which is fine by me. My wife and I have owned three of them and love them to death. I like my LGT more though...
  9. Unless something has changed recently in the design, the parking brake will NOT auto adjust itself by backing up. There is no auto adjustment mechanism!
  10. No it won't. On a traditional drum brake setup, this is correct, but on the Legacy's setup it won't work. On this setup, you may need to adjust both if you use the e-brake to do stupid human tricks or forget to dis-engage it all the time. The cog will not turn by itself. I whole heartily agree on this statement. That's why I made my first post in this thread is because there is no self adjuster on the parking brakes on this car. The adjustment is stricktly manual. To recap. The only way to adjust the parking brakes on this car is with the cable or with the cog wheel with a screw driver. The brakes will NOT automatically adjust themselves while driving the car. If you only use the parking brakes to park and not to slow down, the cable can be adjusted to accomidate for stretch. If you use the brake for slowing down, you may need to adjust the cog wheel as well.
  11. I was speaking about an auto adjuster (adjusting lever in attached photo) for the cog wheel adjuster. The parking brake shoes do not automatically adjust themselves to compensate for wear similar to a traditional brake shoe setup, thus making the parking brake adjustment strictly manual with a screwdriver through the access hole. Reduces complexity, provides service opportunities for the dealers, and saves costs for Subaru.
  12. I know exactly what I'm doing and there is no adjuster to be found. The only thing that could even be considered an adjuster is the spring that holds the bottom of the shoes together but only because it's in close proximity of the cog wheel. Typical drum brakes have a piece of metal that hooks under the shoe hold down spring and rides on the cog wheel and is adjusted by a cable adjustment mechanism. None of this is found on the Legacy.
  13. I pulled the disk/drums off the back of my 07 LGT this past weekend to inspect the rear brakes and found out there is no adjuster for the cog. It appears this is strickly a manual adjustment.
  14. fweasel must be on vacation... No one has seen any Legacys around recently.
  15. I saw a couple of wagons and some sedans at Elkhart Lake today. Anybody from here?
  16. Damnit - That's 10 miles from my house and I can't make it.
  17. Can someone post an assembly view of the turbo/downpipe area as well as where the downpipe connects to the exhaust. A list of recommended gaskets and bolts would also be nice for someone installing an aftermarket. (me)
  18. I am also in for future events! I can't make it this weekend because of a wedding.
  19. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the rear defrost and wiper heaters to stay on until you turn them off with out taking it to the dealer? (i.e. defeat the auto off after 15-20 minutes)
  20. Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin here.
  21. I keep seeing a Black LGT on highway 12/18 between Deerfield and Fort Atkinson. I passed it the other night in Fort Atkinson and waved.
  22. Hi all! The wife and I are planning a trip to Perry, GA the second week in April for a dog show. Are there any sites we should visit while we are down there? Thanks!
  23. Funny this topic came up as I was wondering the same thing. My wife and I went up to northern Wisconsin last weekend and we were in the middle of a snow storm. The entire way, it felt like the rear of our Outback was 'wagging' back and forth. It almost felt like sidewall flex on some very cheap tires. It seemed to be speed dependent. As soon as I got above 45mph it would start to wag. It didn't matter whether I had my foot on the gas or totally off of it. It really is a very insecure feeling. I have never had that in my LGT.
