Enthusiast And I had a little install meet tonight. VF52 into the 08 WRX. It went pretty well. 3 hour job.

The kid said it was his, he must have been lying. Nice LGT by the way.

^^^Yes I know, I have my fingers crossed that warranty will cover it. I should find out soon. I mean 2-2.5K for a rebuilt transmission that is alot of mods I could do to the car.

Update: Burt has the tranny out of the car and opened it up. They don't see any damage to the gears or anything. Tomorrow, they are going to dig deeper and find the problem. I will let you all know what it is.

Burt subaru told me it is definetly the transmission. They are going to tear into it tomorrow and diagnose the problem. They are not sure if it will be covered under warranty or not, I will find that out tommorrow. From the looks of it, the legacy won't be making it to the meet, dang. bskey: If it is not covered under warranty, I might look for a used SI 6 speed, since it will be about the same cost as a rebuilt 5 speed. I need to do some research in that area though.

I forgot to have him sign it. LOL! If it is something reall expensive I am sure he would help with the repairs.

well, my legacy tranny started making noise after bandimere last week. I guess my dad was a little too rough on the launch. It makes a whinning noise in first gear only, not real loud but noticable. I took it to burt subaru today, we will see what happens. I am a little stressed, if I have to spend 2k on a tranny that means no more mods for a while.

Nick, I am sorry to hear that. I bet you are really stressed right now. I hope the damage is not too bad and doesn't cost too much money.

I am going to see if I can get my brother-in-law to come as weel. I will have him drive my wrx so I can drive the legacy. Should be fun.

It might be kinda fun in the rain. It would be a lot slower, but there would be alot of drifting going on.

I wouldn't mind meeting up somewhere. I am coming from Southeast denver.
