  1. Who are you?

I bought an LGT, fell in love with it and had to sell it, and never knew you.... you have been gone for some time! :spin:

anyway.... I wish I could come to lunch tomorrow, but I hat a little trouble installing a lift on the 4Runner today. Needless to say, my driver side front is lifted 4 inches, and the rest is stock  and my front drive shaft is hanging free as I was an idiot and tried to move the car with the front diff disconnected:nono:. Arrrggghhhh... Oh, and I'll be doing the timing belt on the wife's Lancer tomorrow too...... uhhh... trust me, I'd rather be eating carnitas!

Have fun, and I'll get there next time!

    I'm rooting for you brett

  2. So...I met a guy a couple days ago after I spotted him on the freeway, followed him at about 100mph to pass a row of cars...he let me pass, then followed me off the freeway. We pulled over, intro.s, went over mods, and he said he's on here and goes by legwbrembos. Anybody know him? His name is Corey. SWP with UP, DP, MP, Y, stock cans, sway bars (red), gold wheels, whiteline springs, etc. Said he just moved here to ID from OR and used to live near the PDC tuning shop in OR where he and his brother had their work done (bro has a Rex wagon). Anyhoo, my first other modded LGT here and can't find him now. Anyone?
  3. I got the Megan CBE with the DP for that reason. The flange on the stock mid-pipe just doesn't look like it has enough surface area to seal properly to me. There is actually an adapter you can buy. I found a thread about it on the FXT website. They have the same problem that we do. But the little thing was almost $100 so I didn't think that would be money well spend. Anyway, if you really that worry about it just jack the car up spray some soapy water on the flange and turn the car on. Wiggle the the whole exhaust system with your hand and see if there are bubbles.

I'm not concerned about leaks as much as where teh DP mounts to the turbo. The exhaust is supposed to flex (hence the donut), and mine no longer can. I just wonder if the lack of flex can potentialy cause damage.

  4. It might be DP hitting the firewall or the transmission mount. When I first installed my Megan DP it would make this burrrr-burrr-burrr noise when I left off the gas. I thought it was an exhaust leak but it was actually hitting the transmission mount. Eventually I got it situated so it's only doing that once in a while when I have the car in reverse. The whole turbo back exhaust has a lot of flexibility, you would be surprised by how much it could move.

I didn't re-use the donut gasket on my CBE...just bolted the flanges together. I worry about that a lot. Should I?
