  1. I actually got my paint to match pretty much 100%. Ill take pics today. I also made some little innovations that some might find useful/to their liking.
  2. Hah thanks. Unfortunately I dont have the patience to wait a few months until it gets warmer. (Upstate NY)
  3. Installing my CarPC tomorrow, any suggestions or pointers for me? Greatly appreciated... PS. It's gonna be about 15-20 deg's outside
  4. That's the grommet I use to run my Boost line through, but then I took it out hah. The only issue I have with that grommet is that it's somewhat of an eyesore when the hood's popped; its difficult to disguise the wires.
  5. Not a problem, where'd you run your wires through the firewall?
  6. Fair enough. Yeah, I got Jazzy's Aux-In "Pro Kit" that has the ground loop isolator, so I'll be running that. Is there anywhere that could be tapped inside the car for +12v power, so that I don't have to hassle with getting wires through the firewall? It's no biggie, had to do it with the boost gauge, but more time consuming. I saw someone use a fuse-tap on mp3car.com I think, but not really sure how that works...
  7. I decided to go with Plexi/Acrylic. Using a 60mm Stealth fan for cooling, I'll update soon. On another note, where did you guys tap into for power, ground, accessories (the red/black/white wires from the PSU's). Please be descriptive or point me in the right direction. Thanks!
  8. Dont do a BOV. You don't need it. Its not worth the money for a new full recirculating yet (you dont have any mods) and a vent to atmosphere BOV will make your car run rich between shifts, you'll notice a big difference in drivability. I did, I ran the TurboXS BOV for a week and took it off. It made me smile, but wasn't worth the money just to make people look at my car. But, that's my opinion. Just trying to save you money +1 I'm Hogged and still lov'in it
  9. Yeah, i was thinkin plexi. Ive worked with it before, you just need extra fans. I have power seats as well, looking at mounting in the trunk.
  10. Has anyone tried making their own case (ie one that will fit under the seat), out of acrylic or something? I'm thinking about it, it will be cheaper than a $75 case, and I can make it fit to my needs...
  11. We need an electrical engineer here. Does anyone know what is the minimum gauge wire you need to carry video and audio signals? If you don't need Monster Cables to carry the source, why not get some connectors and wire and make the cables yourself? I was thinking of this myself...
  12. Way off topic, anyone know the part # of the stock bezel (with the clock radio etc) Looking to do the fabwork as well...
  13. Haha. My GF's the same way. She hadn't ever seen my car before I did the hog mod (I had just bought the car), and knowing me so well, the FIRST thing out of her mouth is "You already modified the exhaust didn't you? Didn't you?!" <--- And shes not even a car person. Wait until tonight when she sees my car now, a week later: a new RBS Lip, RBS grille, cubbypod w/boost gauge, and TurboXS RFL BOV....hah, and the whining/nagging begins.......
  14. That's what I'm saying. I would most likely be more willing to spend $5 on a pre-fabbed gasket then on some washers. It's just the ease of mind. Honestly, I've owned 3 cars and this is the best mod I've ever done, with the most comments. P.S. If you choose to make a business out of this gasket, contact me.
  15. Honestly, as bad as it sounds, I could see this mod easily evolving into a simple gasket set offered from a vendor. Shoot, there's got to be hundreds of people open to a better sounding exhaust without voiding their warranties. Why not?
  16. Agreed. Hog's mod is needed in our community. Saves us poor guys $1000's of dollars to get the same sound. Maybe not the same performance, but hey.
  17. It needs to stay. If it had been shutdown, new users like me may not have been able to do a priceless mod that makes them fall in love with their LGT all over again. You're my hero hogmeat.
  18. Not a bad idea with that gasket. If it did deteriorate, you could either replace it, or couldnt you trace it onto some sheetmetal and do the same thing? Also, I need to replace my washers soon. I was so anxious to do this that I didn't go out and buy stainless. Ooops...
  19. Nope, full faith. I just didn't expect it to sound so amazing. I was driving a whole 2 miles to my work today, and I had 3 comments in the parking lot walking from my car to where I work. Best $1 I ever spent!
  20. I'm not gonna lie. I just did this about 2 days ago, and makes my LGT sound like an STi. WOW...that's all I have to say.
